Hohum, very well ... Dongle can be found in an 'Armory' ... Software Schematics are sold by a Trader/Vendor who ' ... has just about a little bit of everything ..." ... and that's as far as I'll go for whats better than a successful DLC completion reward ...
This is a clear case of a modder who thinks too highly of himself. Trying to do too much for no reason. The mod itself works and is great but it makes you jump through hoops and doesn't give any good clues about the quest. Just open the mod with FO3edit and look under "Misc Item" and get the FormID numbers for the schematic and the dongle. Make sure the first two numbers are the right load order number by looking at whatever mod manger you use. Then console command it in by typing "player.additem". Highlander, you would have gotten more downloads and endorsements if you would just listen. Post after post I read about complaints about your "quest". Even your sticky hint is not useful because there is more than one armory.
This mod breaks The Pitt's ammo press. Because Highlander is an absolute genius and doesn't comprehend copying base-game assets then modifying those assets as he's modified the base-game terminal for The Pitt.
Even if you wanted to just swap 5.56 to shells it won't let you because his dongle nonsense.
This mod is a classical mistake, never modify base-game assets without telling anyone, copy and make your own version as then it won't cause conflicts or errors as your item will be a new and totally different one, as well as the terminal data which shouldn't be copied from base-game and modified.
Why? Because again, this mod breaks The Pitt's ammo press too. You require the dongle for that. On that basis alone, in the garbage this mod goes for me.
2/10, copy your assets you wish to change and don't modify base-game assets without warning anyone.
Wouldn't it make more sense to add it to Moira's vendor list on top of all other house upgrades she normally sells in a form of holotape, like the rest? It would not only be lore friendly, but save lots of people hedache! Just saying...
Finally completed the quest. But mod doesn't work. Keeps telling me there's no acceptable items in the bin. No readme file for support. Could have been a great mod if it were user friendly. Don't waste your time.
It is a bit annoying that locations of those components are not mentioned in a separately downloadable read me file. I mean Fallout 3 is a single player game, the way any of us plays it doesn't hurt other people. It should be a matter of choice. I wanted to test the mod to see how it works, but not even google knows where the components are. I downloaded 20th century weapons it is a great mod but it brings a LOT of new ammo into the game and loot ends up being spread through so many types that it is hard to have a decent amount of ammo for a single rifle. I don't wanna use cheat containers and I don't wanna use console to spawn ammo. This mod seems perfect at what it says it does, converts ammo that you find into ammo type you want. Sounds like something I'd want to get early in the game with that mod installed.
I have not posted the hints in this forum as I want to give people the choice if they want to take the shortcut or not. However, the information can be found on the Fallout 3 Wiki Ammo Press page under notes here, http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Ammo_press?cb=7937.

At least most mods have decent clues to go by ... especially if it's mfg specific.
Sorry ... just not worth it at all.
