Description
Some items in Fallout 3 are so easy to find, that it makes it hard to believe it's a Wasteland. Food is plentiful (irradiated, yes, but plentiful), water doesn't seem a problem with so much Rad-X and RadAway available, and stimpaks are so easy to find that you end up having tons of them after just a few levels.
This mod allows allows you to choose different Leveled Lists tweaks to change the amount of ammo and explosives (grenades and mines), chems and drugs (including stimpaks), food and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages), found in loot, dead animals, dead bodies, lockers, chests, and sold by vendors (merchants, caravans, etc). It's not a perfect solution, but it does help make the 'Wasteland' a little more believable when it comes to gathering resources.
The mod includes a NMM installer that allows you to install only the options you want.
Available tweaks so far:
- 50-75% Less Ammo and Explosives
- 50-75% Less Chems and Drugs
- 50-75% Less Food and Drinks
New! As of v1.2 this mod also reduces the clip round of the Ammo Dart (from 20 to 5) and the Ammo Railway Spikes (from 20 to 12) to match their 3D models.
I strongly suggest you use this mod along other mods that increase the difficulty and/or realism of the game, such as:
- Mods that add basic physiological needs (I use SimpleNeeds)
- Mods that make stimpaks more necessary (I use Amplified Limb Damage)
- Mods that make rad-x and radaway more necessary (I use MrSlackPants-Radiation)
Requirements
Requires all 5 DLCs:
- Operation Anchorage
- The Pitt
- Broken Steel
- Point Lookout
- Mothership Zeta
Note: in case you don't use LOOT and you have doubts regarding DLC's load order, that one is the suggested load order after Fallout3.esm
Compatibilities
- Other mods that add 'new' (non-vanilla) leveled lists to the game: Full compatibility.
- Other mods that modify vanilla leveled lists: Partial compatibility. Check the 'Readme' tab in order to see what leveled lists each tweak edits. If another mod changes one of those leveled lists, you should load that mod AFTER mine, so that it's changes to that leveled list take precedence over Wastelander Leveled Lists tweaks.
Of course you could always just learn how to make a Merged Patch using FO3Edit, fix the incompatibilities by hand (drag-n-drop) and problem solved, you could have all your mods leveled lists changes (and mine) working together.
Installation
Two alternatives, choose one:

1st. Click the DOWNLOAD WITH MANAGER button. Then activate with the NMM. Follow the installer instructions, and enjoy. :)
or
2nd. Manual installation:
1) Download manually.
2) Select the tweaks you want from each folder, and copy the .esp files to your \Fallout 3\Data folder.
3) Activate the .esp files using the NMM.
4) Enjoy :)
