I've been playing fallout 3 since it came out, and every time I come back to it I end up modding features like this myself because I can never find anything subtle and specific enough to fit my needs (too many overhauls). I am relieved to find your mod, and I'm actually downloading all of your mods now, because we seem to have similar tastes in difficulty settings. Thanks a lot for your work.
Glad you find them useful, I'm not a big fan of overhauls either, I usually know exactly what I want to change in FO3, but I don't always find mods that are specific or small enough to just change what I want, so more than once I end up doing them myself.
An update after almost a year! It's only a minor thing, but one that has been bothering me for a very long time. Two of the most available ammos in the game are darts and railway spikes. One of the reasons you end up having so many of each is because they are everywhere, but also because both clip rounds give you 20 darts/railway spikes when you pick them up, which is a lot. Not only does this add extra amounts of an already easy-to-find ammo, it also doesn't match the 3D models of each: the dart boxes only show 5 darts, and the railway spikes model shows only 12 of them (yeah, I counted them). So I decided to reduce the clip size to match the model, and also to make those two ammo types less available, it's not a huge difference, but it will help make things a little bit harder, which is nice.
Edit: It appears some dart boxes and railway spikes clips are somewhat randomized and/or affected by the result of some leveled lists, so from time to time you'll find dart boxes with more than 5 darts (but less than 20), and railway spikes clips with 11, 12 or 13 spikes. It's an unexpected behavior, but I actually think it's better this way, adds some variability to the wasteland.
@firsTraveler: I don't use FWE and/or FOOK, but they should be compatible if you load my mod before them, so that if any list is used by them they will be overriden by their changes.
@mitos98: Added a 'Compatibilities' section to the description. Thanks.
@MattyDienhoff: Yes, alcohol (and food) abundance is a problem (if you are like me and want your Wasteland to be a harsh enviroment where you have to struggle to gather resources). However, reducing the amount of items lying around in the world is a huge pain in the @ss, one would have to manually go from place to place selecting what to leave, and what to delete (actually not delete, but hide it below a cell and set it as 'Initially disabled', otherwise it could cause CTDs). I wish I had the time and patience to do it, but I don't have either, so working with leveled lists is all I can do for now.
Nice! I've been using XFO's rarity plugins for this purpose for a long time, but it's always nice to see another take on base issues like this, and XFO didn't do this with food and drink as well.
One related thing that troubles me is the over abundance of alcohol in the wasteland. It's not an easy problem to tackle since many of the items are out in the world, not in containers.
