JULY 4th, 2018 MOD UPDATE

After returning to Fallout 3 for another play-through, I have decided to continue improving my mod. I have learned a hell of a lot from modding New Vegas, Skyrim, and Fallout 4 extensively since I last played Fallout 3, and I wanted to utilize that knowledge to revitalize this project. Inside you will find a ton of improvements to FOOK weapons such as dozens more centered sights and several customized meshes. Many extraneous edits in the .esp have also been cleaned. I intend to bring See-Through Scopes sort of capabilities to many of the existing weapons using scopes. Some of the weapons already receiving this treatment in 1.4 are the HK 416, UMP45, and M4A1 Scoped.

Feel free to report uncentered meshes, and to suggest additions such as scope replacements, greater fov zoom when aiming, ironsight mesh edits, etc., and I'll see what I can do.

The mod will only remain under production as long as I care about playing Fallout 3. Do not expect additions once I get bored and move on (until I return again after another 6 years). I mod because it is fun for me.

And a final note, this mod will ALWAYS be usable in the future. Anyone in the comments suggesting that the mod doesn't work any more simply because it is old, is WRONG.




==OVERVIEW==

I took Mangoez FOOK2 Ironsight mod and made it completely compatible with the latest version of FOOK2 (V1.2b).

The problem that his mod had with the latest version of fook is that a lot of mesh and texture filenames were changed from fook's previous versions. I went through and corrected pretty much all of the filename issues.

There will still be a couple weapons here and there that aren't lined up for ironsights because his mod hadn't corrected those weapons yet. I've simply corrected whatever work he had done already.

==LOAD ORDER==

The esp that is included 'FOOK2 - Main - Ironsights' should be used after 'FOOK2 - Main'. So your load order should look like this:

This is my first mod, so I'm hoping that I did all this geck editing stuff correctly. It works in my game so... yea.



PLEASE! Any errors you find (texture issues, guns not lining up correctly, etc), don't hesitate to make a comment about it. At the moment, I'm positive some of the laser weapons aren't done yet, but tell me about problems they may have anyway, as I don't quite remember which ones work or not.



==KNOWN ISSUES==

Sorry for the large file size. I had to include almost all of FOOK2's meshes and textures. I would have been able to exclude the texture files if I were to change the texture references in the meshes instead of changing the filenames. There was no way I was doing that. There're anywhere from 10-50 references in each mesh.
Maybe I'll do it in the future...
