2023 review: Excellent "old, but gold" quest mod which should be a "must play" for all new and returning Fallout 3 mod players. Simple, but stable and polished. Unmarked, but with actual narrative and different outcomes. It's one of the few examples of "detective follows serial killer" type of story which works by providing new location, right "mood" and, again, ability to save or abandon victims of another maniac. And I should tell you that I really don't like detective and investigations type of content in any Bethesda's or other open world games. But this quest is an exception this time. Around 20-30 minutes to finish quest and see all new content, but maybe you will decide to replay some parts for the best ending. Expect additional new side quest with bug-free experience and nice rewards for your help. Should you try this mod in 2023? Yes, even if you don't prefer "detective/serial killer" type of quests like me. "The Return Of Mister Callahan" has all the right pieces together to provide balanced and simple, but not overwhelmingly long, new side quest. Endorsement from me.
Nice little mod, I do enjoy Callahan's revolver but felt it wasn't worth blowing up the citadel for, even if the brotherhood are self-righteous jerks. I like how there no quest objectives, makes it so you need to focus. Its pretty lore-friendly as well, it could have been a little side-quest after the main mission in the vanilla game. My only complaints would be the first clue in the quest, once Callahan tells you where to go he can't be asked again about what you should be doing, which isn't a big problem if you read his dialog carefully, but being reminded would have been nice. Plus, some of the grammar is a little off but that can be forgiven seeing as how well crafted the mod is. It gets my endorsement!
PS: I'm a little stuck on how to get the perk, I've done everything with all good outcomes but didn't get any new perks :( A hint would be nice.
Update: Figured it out, it depends on how many people you save, three to be exact. Which is weird cause the first time I did this quest I did save all three of them yet he didn't give me the perk :p I think when saving the lady, you have to escort her to the drainage entrance, only then did it actually work.
Tried to endorse this but the stupid Nexus website claims that I havent downloaded this when I have! So consider this an endorsement, plus I agree with what someone else said, would have been good if Callahan stuck around. Maybe an expansion of this would be a good idea, time permitting!
Where do I go after I talked to Callahans? What appears to it that I was not found but I went to RC. Or Do you think there is any other condition For starting this quest?
This mod was well done, I enjoy it very much, it would have been nice if Mr. C stayed around, maybe even as a companion, rather than disappear once the quest was done.
I like the story involved and the scripting was better than most mods. Good Job!

Pretty good little mod you have here. Overall, seems to fit the fallout world fairly well. The only things I would like to see would be proper grammar and spelling and perhaps voice overs. Otherwise, it was a pretty enjoyable alternative to blowing up the citadel. 7.5/10, and an endorsement
