About this mod
Having played Fallout 3 with default Hitpoint calculations, I ended up with 500 Hitpoints in the endgame. Combined with Power Armor, I was a walking tank that barely ever needed to use Stimpaks, and companions were more of a nuisance than help. In short, it was like playing on God Mode - sure, I could punch a Behemoth to death if I wanted to, but i

REMOVAL
Because this mod changes the base value of the character's Hit Points, this value remains changed even if the mod is deactivated. Using this mod, therefore, is a one-way street. SAVE YOUR GAME BEFORE YOU ACTIVATE THE MOD. If you decide not to use it, DEACTIVATE the mod and LOAD the savegame you created before activating it.
DESCRIPTION
This mod attempts to increase the challenge and excitement of combat by reducing the Hit Points of the character. A new formula is used to calculate the Hit Points, similar to the one used in Fallout 1 and Fallout 2:
Total Hit Points = 15 + (EN * 5) + (STR * 2) + ((EN / 2) + 2) * Level
The formula is completely retroactive: if your Strength or Endurance changes after you leave the vault, your Hit Points will change accordingly. Only permanent changes, like those coming from Perks, are taken into account: wearing armor or taking drugs that improve your Endurance or Strength will not give you any extra hit points.
Life Giver perk has been changed. It now has three ranks. Each rank of Life Giver perk gives you 1 extra Hit Point per level, for a total of extra 60 hit points by level 20.
NOTES
Fewer hit points means harder fights. Sometimes MUCH harder fights. "Very Hard" difficulty is REALLY VERY HARD now, especially in early game. Remember that before you activate the mod!
KNOWN ISSUES
As mentioned in the Removal section, this mod is a one-way street. SAVE THE GAME BEFORE YOU ACTIVATE IT, IN CASE YOU DISLIKE LOWER HP.
This mod will conflict with any other mod that changes the way base Hit Points are calculated.
It may take a moment for the hit points to change after the mod is enabled, or after your Strength and Endurance changes.
