In case of crashes during Lara's quest or instances where an NPC initializes dialogue with the player please do the following:

    1) Download the most recent version of SFALL from here.

    2) Extract the contents in the main FO2 directory the and overwrite everything  ASIDE FROM "ddraw.ini".

The CTD isn't caused by the mod but by the current iteration of Sfall RPU v28 uses.

Just started yesterday another run of F2 with newest RPU v28. Found this Talking Head Addon and Voices for them but it didn't work after I put them into mods folder. Coudn't find the solution, only posts with errors what have ppl with older RP version but mine is good updated version. So.. just looking at the mods folder found txt file 'mods_order' and put there both mod names 'talking_heads.dat' and 'talking_heads_audio.dat' And IT WORKED so well. Why is that way? No matter, maybe it will help someone else too. Anyway I love the mod, keep up the good work guys.

I have no such text file. Where can I find it? Can you share the contents of this file with me so I can copy/paste? Is it generated by something else? I am using RPU v28.

You might have already figured this out so more of a reminder for probably me in the future. The text file isn't there on a fresh install. I had to start the game and it was there.

I have added a file (RPU 28 Hotfix), it should help new users.

The mods_order file was added in RPU 28, before that mods were loaded automatically - now you have to manually add them to that list

Hey! I love the mod so far, but the crash during Laras quest is killing my playthrough as well as a few other minor instances (so far) that causes my game to crash. I already downloaded the ddraw ini a while back... Is there any way I can fix this issue after already having the ddraw ini? Am I just able to delete it or will that cause my playthrough to break?

I'm having an issue where this mod gets disabled when I install the Companion Expansion mod. The talking heads were working fine until I downloaded the companion expansion, all of the talking heads were removed. I thought the mods were compatible with each other, unless I didn't install something correctly.

    Here's Stupid Question:
does this mod also work with just the Unofficial Patch?

This is so lovely! So well done and the added head are very fitting! I love it so, and it takes the Fallout 2 experience to another level. A worthy reason to have a playthrough again. This combined with the added voices and it's really awesome! Thank you so much for your amazing work and dedication!

I'm not sure what exactly is wrong as I've tried to do a multi mod install and am using both Armored Heads, this mod, THAT and Companion Expansion. However, I thought I'd ask for help here.

Everything looks like it's working as it should, except Vic is using Laras portrait. Any idea how to rectify this?

Do you use the patch for armored heads here from the download section?

I am, but I might have installed things in the wrong order. I think I initially ticked the Vic portrait box on one of the installers and I probably shouldn't have. Uninstalling and re-installing didn't do anything, but I'll try a clean install sometime.

When I installed the restoration project, it didn't create a "mods" folder. I made my own in the fallout 2 directory and placed the talking heads mod
in there but it didn't work. Full reinstallations and new files havent helped. The restoration project itself is running fine. Anyone know what to do?

Did you install the right Restoration Project (Updated), as mentioned in the description and file requirements?

I had found what was listed as the most recent version elsewhere. I did a full reinstall and used the rpu version that you have in the readme. Now it does add the mods folder but it still wont work
Update: What ramiro20 said worked for me. I added
      talking_heads.dat
      talking_heads_audio.dat
      to my mod_order text file.

@Skatomic When you did that, did the game ever freeze with the music looping and the only way to close it was by shutting down or did it CTD? I've been struggling with that for a long time. I'll admit that I never added the .dat to the mod_order file. Would that do the trick?
