Hello. Can't start a dialog with death and all other added NPS. It says "Talk to": grayed out and does not activate the conversation. Need to reach some conditions for dialogs or something?
That means your dialogues (info.hdr) are not present. That happens when you run multiple mods over one another. Genome requires your mods to be merged, otherwise it overwrites the files with each mod added. You can merge the mods yourself, run the mod solo, or use E2 Enhanced where it is merged.
Magus great JOB this mod is amazing. I would like to ask you, is it possible to do something with weapon animations? It's just that the NPC has a kick with a running start, etc. Or get it from somewhere, it's just that you, as a moderator, know better and I think it will be interesting to many. Animations can't be touched, they are hardcoded. For example there should already have been a play as a woman mod by now but guess what, if you switch to female animations - Jax can't move at all, and if you make Jax a female with male animations, the female skeleton scales to the one of male, but there is no boobs physics in the male animation set.
Newsflash about the sounds - they are just copied over from ELEX 1 and are the exact same -.- Actually as many other things. The only new things PB actually did for ELEX 2 are Carakis and Morkons. And some parts of the engine.
The combat sucks of course, but as you know, they came up with this type of combat back in Risen 3, where you just teleport to the enemy if you are not in range. If they would keep the exact length precision of Gothic 2 or even Risen 1, it might have been be fun. People just use shotguns to skip melee combat, like what does that say on PB's account.
I've had many ideas about weapons or spells that would boost the melee combat speed with the help of the Morkon perk, but that is not applicable. That skill first requires to be a Morkon, which is fine, but then it also needs their shrine to edit some HP tresholds, I wouldn't know since I haven't played the game actually. I was so fed up with what PB delivered on the launch that I started modding and wasted too much time on it and now I'm just appalled by the game, because of time I've wasted on it and also I know that PB don't give a damn, and E3 will suffer the same treatment as E2.
The thing with PB is, they spend their budget and love on World Building at the cost of everything else, insert NPCs, and I don't blame them, they still build the best worlds, but what's the point when the melee combat is bland and boring plus not rewarding enough.
Hey man, you'll probably not even read this, but is there any chance you'll buff the Butterknife up to Cutter levels? Looks so very strange to use a clean, not even really good-looking sword together with basically any armor in the game... the Butterknife on the other hand, perfection. But uselessly weak...
How would I go about only downloading melee, ranged and magic combat enhanced and none of the extra merged mods? I know how to merge mods with elexresman and I'm really not interested in the black market trader or the sunglasses buff always active.
Nevermind, I see that the sunglasses mod doesn't add all the effects to every pair and I can just ignore the trader. Thanks for the mod.
Death is an integral part of the design because there is no other way how to obtain many of the items. You can ignore his personality and use him just like a vendor machine.
I have tested CHAINSWORD and CAPTAIN SWORD from outlaw faction. The CAPTAIN SWORD looks like the chainsaber from ELEX 1. So am i doing something wrong??? (i have only 3 mods: static camera, jetpack unlimited and sunglasses item sight) Could you please just release an optional file with just the sound and those ugly green spikes removed, i really want only the sound and the spikes removed on chainsword and captain sword, please :)
Well here's the thing, DX12 only locked all textures, it didn't modify any other files.
It almost seems you have a mod with higher load order that modifies templates. First thing is that you should test this mod alone to see if it works properly and then potentialy merge your mods.
Ok, so i tested the mod and its NOT COMPATIBLE with your mod, Unlimited Jet Pack Fuel, (z_FUEL) Its working with these mods: Sprint speed 200% and static camera. Can you release an optional file with these merged files but WITHOUT BLACK MARKET TRADER:
So I've installed the game again and tested Damaged Captain Sword and all 3 versions of Chainsword and of course, all of them work fine on DX12.
And as I said, you just need to merge your mods. There is a guide available in the descriptions of all my mods.
Furhermore, all of my mods are compatible with each other, provided you merge them in some cases. If you don't do that and any 2 of them change Templates for example, the one with the higher load order will completely disable the one with lower load order. That's how Genome works, regrettably. There's zero support for modding from PB.
I merged them but man your instructions are so VAGUE. Thank god i am a little awesome and i finally merged them and I even removed Black Market Trader and its working perfectly. :) ELEX 2 without mods its like Skyrim without mods, its that bad of a game, so disapointing, Piranha Bytes really dropped the ball on this game. :(
DX12 doesn't load any mod textures or meshes and for now there is nothing that can be done about it. Every mod will work fine but all possible modded textures will just be vanilla.
Ah, cool, good to know. f*#@, you gotta love PB, dontcha? These guys legit take seven months to make a patch, just to f*#@ up the entire modding scene and make the graphics worse, lol. Been a fan since G1, but the level of not giving a f*#@ is truly egendary :D
Well the one mistake they made at the start of the development of ELEX 2 was to design it on one of the old sub versions of DX11. Maybe if they would start on DX12 right away it would end up better since I don't think they planned to support Win 7 anyway. Now it seems that players are just DX12 betatesters for the Genome Engine and the full DX support will be available for the new version of Genome that will power ELEX 3.
I myself had no expectations for ELEX 2 but just maybe better hitboxes that are just so so now. Anyway I don't hold it against PB. I remember PB saying that world design is the main priority and stuff like NPC design doesn't matter that much. Yes that might seem weird but they do what they can with their budget.
I mean true, but take, for example, the lighting - what HAPPENED to all the characters' faces? I mean they are bad ANYWAY but if they didn't mess up the lighting engine it wouldn't be as bad. And they have the gall to put in the cutscenes from the first game AND the new ones too, in which you get to see, for example, two different (actually hot, but even that is besides the point as much as - COMPLETELY DIFFERENT) versions of Caja (and Nasty, too) that don't look anything like their damn models in the actual game. Like, legit, what happened? I mean, don't get me wrong, I love these guys for all the jank (even sometimes for it) and honestly the combat, at least, in Elex 2 is WAY better than in Elex 1 (still way worse than in Risen 1 but eh) but maaan their level of not doing the bare minimum in some areas just grates sometimes, you know? And it's because they know their fans (myself and yourself included) will tolerate just about everything and anything, AND they will get funding from the German government for Elex 3 anyway, too.
Thanks for the reply. That was what i wanted to know. I guess the Create Ammunition Fixed mod would still work. Would the Magic Enhanced mod work? I want to use the DX12 version unfortunately.

Every mod will work fine, except for any modded textures on DX12.
Asking PB is a good idea but they basically don't communicate at all and also I think they never supported modding.
This really is more of a question at George, who said that he won't be developing elex2resman anymore though. Tom found out that the texture files are packed in a different way, they cannot be extracted by the ressource manager.
On the other hand even replacing my modded textures with a random one from the DX12 version didn't help. And that is bad because it seems the DX12 version doesn't load the Image folder at all.
Basically there is nothing that can be done about this for now.

Хорошо бы урезать скорострельность лазерного оружия, стрелковое и дробовики я не смотрел, но полагаю тоже нужно снизить, плазму и другие тяжелые, наверное оставить... Магам УВЕЛИЧИТЬ расход маны, мощь это нормально, но при таком смешном уровне расхода, смешно. Нужно увеличить расход маны и элекса, для большинства заклинаний на правой кнопке мыши, чуть ли не в 6 раз, и нет, это не геморой, ведь теперь есть банки с маной и элексом. Кстати, возможность съедать сырой элекс и ману, УБРАТЬ НАФИГ! Ибо идиотизм, накой нужна склянка с маной, если можно жрать сырые, и НЕ ЛОРНО!

Спорный момент, что магия элекса что лазерное оружие в оригинале довольно убитые штуки. У меня версия мода стоит ~v5 и в нем лазерное примерно на уровне дробовика(а не хуже в 10 раз как это было в оригинале). Магию элекса даже с модом не стал использовать, поигрался и бросил. Все же боевка в игре кривая до невозможности изначально и всё кроме дробовика и магии бресерков убито на корню.
