The additional follow me at the top of the dialogue has no party restriction check allowing for any amount of companions. The default follow me at the bottom of dialogues cares about party size.
Sadly it seems that Elex - Skills Descriptions and More also uses /localization/en.str like your mod does. Is there a way to play with both mods by merging those files somehow? I'd edit them myself but I can't seem to open them at all.
In case that's not possible, is it safe to not include yours? What would I be missing on?
Merging localizations is really not worth the effort. If you won't include these, you won't see any text in dialogues. So it's more like a choose between mods.
I vaguely seem to remember there might have been a string merger tool on forum.worldofplayers.de, you can search for it here.
Hi. What's up with this 'give weapon', 'take weapon' options in companions' dialogue? They do not work at all even if this is the only mod added to the game. The just don't do anything. Also this one doesn't work if merged with the most popular mod out here, elex overhaul (or overhaul plus).
That is scripted for all legendary weapons. You need to give this priority during mergin if you want it to work with mods from different authors. If you don't use all the files included here as they are, don't except it to work.
Legendary weapons only? Nice, thanks for clearing that up. As for the merging - the only shared file between this mod and elex overhaul is en.str localization file. I'd actually edit it myself, but elex resource manager can't unpack/open .srt files. Do you know how to edit those? Also, by "giving this priority during merging" do you mean overriding for example overhaul's en.srt file with yours and then merging? I actually tried this, and it still didn't work for some reason :)
Lianzifu handles strings. Although that won't help you much. I think I saw a string merger program on said forums though.
Priority means you to overwrite the other mods with these files if there is conflict. Although of course, conflict could only arise with the strings, which means you would not see any dialogues. I doubt anybody else ever infoscripted anything, other than Tom of course.
Can you tell me what to edit, to remove companions agressivness (edited by your other mod)? Like for an idiot, step by step? For one i dont like it personaly, tried to look briefly into the paks but couldnt figure out what to remove, after trying ang merging the paks back again, mod always died.
Extract the .pak file. Open documents folder. Delete w_perception.hdr and w_perceptionentry.hdr Repack it and put it into game's /packed folder.
Also if you run any other mods then merge those .pak files together (extracted folders) while you are at it. Genome basically (with exceptions) only runs one mod, the one with the highest load order.
