The mod adds descriptions of skills in the English, Spanish & German versions.

What is this mod?

My main focus here is to adding skill descriptions for each tree and its abilities - a brief explanation of what exactly the skill does and what the skill level gives you. 

As you can see in the screenshots, the mod adds not only skill descriptions, but also loyalty levels with your companions, which we can now follow in a simpler way than in vanilla Elex, and in addition, we can finally follow our level of coldness in a very static way!




General Description

More appropriate attribute description -


The attribute description originally can be, and in fact is, confusing at best, it describes each attribute with a stat increase that we don't get in the game, for example:


  • Intelligence: Increases mana permanently.
  • Constitution: Permanent increase of vital energy.
  • Strength: Increased melee damage.
Etc.


These descriptions do not correspond to reality, there is no increase in damage, nor mana, nor ranged damage with dexterity.

The real function of the attributes is to be able to choose to use better weapons, armor and unlock new skills, all these things ask for requirements in the form of attributes, having more strength will not give you more melee damage, but you will be able to use stronger weapons that do more damage, in short, you will do more damage but only because you will use a better weapon, better defense by using better armor, and new skills, that is the only real function of the attributes.

In the new descriptions of these attributes, we have opted for a "lore style" description, making it clear that there is no increase in stats by putting more points and that they serve exclusively for what I mentioned above.

Detailed general skill descriptions -

The original description of the skills is very vague, and in many cases does not make clear what exact function the skill offers, or even if there is a damage increase, it does not specify what damage increase we gain, something that is basic in any role-playing game.

In the new descriptions, all the skills describe in detail what each skill does, if there is a damage increase it specifies how much damage we gain, if there is a defense improvement it specifies how much defense we gain.

All this is reflected in "points" or in "percentage (%)" depending on the skill, and how much we increase of each skill depending on the level we put of each one, if there are 3 skill levels, we will know what improvement we will have in each level respectively.

Example (More in the images of the page):

- Melee Weapons -

  •  Level 1 -> Melee weapon damage increased by 10%
  •  Level 2 -> Melee weapon damage increased by 20%
  •  Level 3 -> Melee weapon damage increased by 30%

Better faction skill descriptions -

The same applies as for the attribute descriptions, being the descriptions more detailed and specifying with numbers and percentages (%) that each skill offers, special mention to the abilities:


  • Enchant Weapons -> Berserkers
  • Low-Tech Weaponsmith -> Outlaws
  • High-Tech Weaponsmith -> Clerics


Where it is specified in each one what type of enchantment or weapon modification we can do, naming all the possible options, elements, Bleed, radiation, etc etc etc.

Loyalty levels for Companions and Jax's Cold level -

- Now the companions show in number the level of loyalty they have towards us, if the companion idolizes us, dislikes us, etc etc, we will see it reflected on screen when we ask the companion "How are we doing together?" (and similar questions, the question varies depending on the partner).

- We can also see in the "Attributes" tab the level of Cold that we have in our character, but not as we saw it before, now we can see that level "in numbers", with this and with the data that we will see below, we can know for sure if our character has a lot or little to increase or reduce its Cold.

Finally, in the "Charisma" branch, we can see the different ranges of loyalty to our companion and the level of Cold we have in our character.


  • "Companions" -> Here are shown the different fidelity ranges that we can have with our companion, to know if we are close to increase the fidelity or reduce it according to our actions or options that we choose in the dialogues.


Loyalty levels: 
•0-10 - considers an enemy 
•11-30 - hates you 
•31-50 - angry at you 
•51-70 - doesn't like you 
•71-90 - considers eccentric 
•91-110 - treats neutrally 
•111-130 - respects you 
•131-150 - likes you 
•151-170 - admires you 
•171-190 - idolizes you 
•191-200 - considers a friend 
•200+ - loves you


  • "Sensitive, Balanced and Synthetic" -> In any of these skills we can see the level of Cold we have in our character, from the minimum to the maximum.

We can see these examples in the images of this page of the mod too. With this data and with the above mentioned about the level of Cold that we can see in the attributes tab of our character, we will have all the tools to know exactly its level of Cold, and knowing this information, we will act accordingly, raising or lowering its Cold according to our preferences.


Installation:

Extract the contents of the "Elex - Skills Descriptions and More" folder to the "Elex \ data \ packed" folder.
