Welcome to Project Souls PvP!

Intro

Greetings! Welcome to Project Souls PvP. This mod was crafted for my personal enjoyment and for the amusement of my friends.

The inspiration behind this project sparked when playing the Dark Souls 3 mod Champion's Ashes, and when a Youtuber delved into discussions about the essence of Souls PvP, drawing parallels to fighting games such as Tekken. The Youtuber asserted that Souls PvP surpasses real fighting games, a claim that, as someone who enjoys fighting games, left me feeling quite perturbed.

This mod is not a critique of Souls PvP; rather, it's a reminder that these games belong to the RPG genre, not the fighting game category. The enjoyment of PvP in Souls games, in my opinion, stems from player creativity in their build choices. This mod endeavors to broaden the horizons of builds across various types and situations. I invite you and your friends to explore this mod, aiming for a truly enjoyable experience!

This mod is a fusion of my creative decisions, which I believe are crucial for enhancing the overall enjoyment, along with the integration and influence of other mods. Please check out the other mods I merged to make this mod
possible. Such as - Unpopular Things Rebalanced (Weapons Sorceries Incantations Ashes of War etc.)PvP Feedback Balance ModElden Ring - Defuckenated, and GRR - Great Runes Revisited.  Please take a look at these mods to get an idea of what's included in this mod, and, of course, explore their respective features. Please support the mod creators.

New Stuff

Roundtable Court

I intergraded my Roundtable Court map into the mod. I fixed the lighting and removed inviable collision that I missed the first time around.

Den Maps
dueling items.

New standalone equipment are available at the Twin Maidens.

New emotes.

Combat mechanics

This mod reintroduces combat mechanics from pass From Software games that I enjoy and expands the possibilities of existing mechanics.

Backstep Iframes from Dark Souls 2.

Perfect Blocking from Sekrio

Guard counter attacks will have a small amount of Iframes.

Arrow/bolts now slightly track targeted enemies.

And many more smaller combat mechanics!

Other things to keep an eye out.

Removed Quickstep/ Bloodhound Step
You can no longer input light attacks with a weapon in your left hand. (Decision not final.)
New available ashes of war for certain weapon categories including staffs and talismans.
Adjusted popular sorceries and incantations, and buffed unpopular sorceries and incantations.
Certain weapon categories have been nerfed and buffed.
Nerfed popular PvP weapons, and buffed unpopular PvP weapons.
Adjusted damage and scaling for half of the weapons available. Keep an eye out for the little things.

CSV

The CSVs will be available so you can see what's going on in DS Map Studios, and so you can put it in your mods. If you come across any bugs and know how to fix them, please let me know so that I can enhance this mod.

Required Mods To Play

You only need Seamless Co-op to play. Please make sure you installed Seamless Co-op correctly to avoided getting banned from the main game.

FAQ

Q - Can I PVE in this mod?

A - Yes of course, I encourage you to not use the Den dueling items, but I can't stop you. Go nuts and have fun!

Q - Why does the new equipment disappear when a phantom is at far distances?

A - The new equipment don't have a LOD model. It's to much work for me right now, I'm sorry.

Q - How often are you going to be updating this mod?

A - Whenever I have free time, or when i feel like it. Life going to get busy for me soon, and this mod was just a fun project for myself.

Q - Does this work with Seamless Co-op 2.0?

A - Probably.

Things I Want To Add

I'm exploring the possibility of adapting Dark Souls 3 - Open Server to Elden Ring and merge it with Seamless Co-op. Envisioning a world where invasions is enhanced with an expanded player limit. A lofty dream, but one I'm eager to see it one day.

Prevent "Hard Swapping". (Maybe)

I'm looking to add covenants into my mod as a toggleable item that will grant a small buff.

Thank you for checking out my mod and I hope you have fun!
