    CHANGELOG:

    • Version 1.4 - Fixed prompts icons issue
    • Version 1.3 - Updated for version 1.08.1
    • Version 1.0 - Relased on version 1.04.1

How to fix the problem with the button prompts icons.
(aka the file SB_KG.dds, located inside common.tpf.dcx)
First of all make sure you're using the right version of the game, for older versions there's a "old files" section in the files tab.
If the issue persists, try these:

    Solution 1:
Since I tried to fix this by changing the aforementioned file in version 1.3 it turns out to be like this, while in 1.4 it is like this,
so for some one is fine the 1.3, for some other the 1.4 is fine.
Choose which one works for you in the files tab.

    Solution 2:

Some people in the past have solved it by changing the default device for on-screen prompts.
Here's a guide on how to change that setting:

    • launch Elden Ring
    • open the main menu
    • click on the System option on the bottom left side of the screen
    • tap over to the sound and display tab
    • scroll down and select a device for the on-screen prompts option

    Solution 3:
If you want to try solving this issue on your own do this:
Unpack both mine and your "common.tpf.dcx" file using Yabber and replace my SB_KG.dds file with yours.
Repack mine with your SB_KG.dds file in it and you're good to go.

    Solution 4:
I don't know if you are using the mod named "PS4 DualShock UI" or "PS5 PS4 Controller UI for ELDEN RING (updated for 1.08)" but having these can sometime fix it or break it, so check if removing or having one of these mods helps.

    Before reporting an issue,
make sure you have tried these solutions.

Hello, this mod is excellent. Would you agree to make a pack for the main menu with an image that I will send to you? THANKS

No, sorry, but in the description of this mod and this other one there are tutorials to become capable of doing what you ask and much more.
Just use WitchyBND instead of Yabber.

Yo, just making sure I get it correctly. The two versions of the mod are completely separate right? As in this one isn't an upgrade on the other or something, I just look at the arts of the two and decide which set I prefer?

Yes exactly, they are separated; one will overwrite the other if you install both so yes, choose the one you prefer.

Is this compatible with your first ERA?  If not, could you make it compatible, and also have it so the ERA loading screens also don't have the tips?  I love the artworks in the first one but I also want these artworks, and taking out the tips was a GREAT addition to the mod

Thanks! The two mods are not really compatible as they would overwrite each other, the only way would be to unpack the individual files and choose which files to keep, so as to merge the two and then re-pack everything. Probably by following the video tutorial on the page of the description you can guess how to do it.

As for removing the tips on the first ERA, it can be a bad idea because in the part below there would remain some black shaded stripes that I manually added inside the images of that mod just to give more visibility to the tips. It would take to redo the files for that mod directly without those shades of black in order to have more space for the artworks.
But if you want you can try to use the 02_903_nowloading2.gfx file of this mod with those loading screens simply by downloading it from here and putting it in the "menu" folder replacing the one that is already there, it should be fine.

Idk how to do all that, but I have been wanting to learn how to mod Elden Ring.  I just don't know how to learn/where to begin lol

So wait, is there a limit to how many different loading screens one could have in a mod? I was hoping to merge this with ERA 1 and the concept art one, to maximize my variety.

Well, there's 24 files that go from "MENU_Load_00000.tpf.dcx" to "MENU_Load_00023.tpf.dcx"  residing within a larger archive, so that number is assumed to be that.

I've only modified them in this and other mods but I have never tried to add any of them also because I don't think it is enough to insert a new file by copying the previous one and renaming it maybe like this "MENU_Load_00024.tpf.dcx".

I don't know if the game pulls them off in such a simple way, even though I've never tried it it doesn't sound plausible.
But if there's succees in this (probably naive way) then we figured out how to increase the number of loading screens that appear lol.

nice work, indeed! but would there be a version for 2k / 4k monitors? instead of the 1080p resolution the images have
(didn't check if the originals were 1080p or 4k. nevertheless, there are some programs that do upscaling + noise reduction, like waifu 2x)

Hi, thanks for this mod. Only experiencing one issue so far with the player inventory. Posted under bug reports.

Edit: After further evaluation, I'm guessing it breaks with every new update unless I install and manually patch this via UXM. I suppose I'll try ERA1 for the time being. Thanks again.

It worked with UXM, thank you! My Elden Ring got better once again with such amazing artwork.. btw there's a lot of heavy folders in my game folder now, which ones can I delete? (I installed Era edition 2, full replacement). And, do you know how to keep the original advices during the loading screens? mine don't show up anymore, I bet it's cause I play in spanish

Regarding the folders that you can delete having unpacked with uxm (I used the old one not the selective) I would say none, but there is one thing I did to save space but it is tricky and I do not recommend it:
Once all the "data" files were unpacked, I deleted them and replaced them with txt files renamed with the same titles as the data since the game starts loading the loose files.
I repeat, I do not recommend it.
(If you want to try it be sure to move the original data files elsewhere to try before deleting them permanently)

To get the loading menu tips back just don't install my gfx file and keep your original.

Yes, this will do the trick you want, but just be aware of this one thing: tips are normally shown without a shadow behind them.

For example, in this mod I manually added a black shaded bar at the bottom of the images to increase the visibility of the aforementioned tips. Since this mod is not meant to display tips, maybe you may experience some readability issues in some images.

In case it bothers you too much I suggest you reuse my gfx again.

Quick question, what are the solo.tpf files for in the "hi" folder? I seem to be having an issue with tpfbdt. For some reason with the mod installed, occasionally I can't access certain save files when I choose "Load Game" from the title screen.

They are the loose files of the loading screens, to use them you need to follow the section "Notes and installation about the loading screen TPF files" in the description.
There is also written why I provided them.

If you want to replace only them there is the "only loading screens" download available, where you can find the tpfbdt already packaged.
