I moved on from EDF6 and EDF6 Modding a while ago, so if anyone wants to adopt this project feel free to use any and all of it's files for your own use and bring out your own version.
My apologies for not realizing some of the updates broke the mod with dlc1 and dlc2 out, i have put out a request to the creator of the lootmaster mod to make a new merged mod that should hopefully work on the latest version.
If he is kind enough to make that merge that will be the final update to the mod.
This worked for me to boot the game. However the game crashes as soon as an item box is picked up, consistently. Ive gone into the game a dozen times with different numbers of mods, and the only time it acts like this is when the lootmaster mod is installed over brians my other mods were just the camera tweaks, unlock AR and skip intro, I tested taking them out anyway and even did a fresh install, but still crashes
Looking at the files, it looks like without lootmaster the game wont boot, but with lootmaster it overrites the defaultpackage config file and the weapon folders loot table file - which brians uses for its equipment, so green boxes crash your game Looks like red boxes will also crash it, likely due to the conflict in the default package file again.
Hope it gets merged soon, Brians mod is just too good not to use IMO
I was able to get the mod to work by updating some ModLoader files. Haven't experienced any crashes.
Download EDFModLoader.zip and Plugins6.zip from the latest EDFModLoader release here. Then in steamapps\common\EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 6:
Replace winmm.dll from EDFModLoader
In Mods/Patches: Replace all patches from Plugins6.
In Mods/Plugins: Replace Patcher.dll from Plugins6.
You might want to change the ChangePickupLimits.txt Patch: maxOnMap+1 from 128 -> 512 Of course, the version of Lootmaster used by Brian is older, so it won't autoloot at the end of DLC missions.

Lootmaster is updated for the new DLC but using it with brians mod installed at all will crash on box pickup, would following your advice after installing lootmaster work? so install brains>lootmaster>patches Im not quite sure what causes the crash with brains+lootmaster, clearly something when picking up a box, but im not savvy enough to figure out how to manually merge them - im assuming its an issue with the loot tables being mismatched.
I got Brian Balance to work by installing it normally, and then deleting the boxLimit file in EDF6\Mods\Patches folder. After which I installed Lootmaster overtop, letting it overwrite files, and it no longer crashes upon picking items up. I tested in both single and multiplayer, but I haven't tried without lootmaster though.

I did this but it started crashing right before the mission end screen loaded and only on the 4th mission and beyond. Did you have any experience like that? I was starting on the hard difficulty too.
Great mod! but I do find that the boost G&M rifles got are way over the top to the point where they beat most snipers in damage output. Maybe giving them a slight power boost to do slightly more damage than slugger and Orchid rifles but throw in full auto fire would be a reasonable alternative, but as it stands every sniper that isn't a Lysander or Fang is overshadowed by the G&M rifles.
Can I suggest a change to the wing diver's weapons that decrease in DPS as the magazine runs out? I cannot stand that mechanic. As an alternative, it could be that the total damage is adjusted down a little to balance the change.

I installed that over the top of Brian's and it works now.
Tested and I can boost jump using scope mortars as Fencer, so seems to have fixed it.
EDIT: Crashes sometimes on mission retreat?
