Not sure why that would happen. I only changed the DoF settings from the first version. Are you sure you're still using the same preset as before the update? The Alts have lower exposure, in case you wanted to check those out.
Also, you can lower the exposure setting in Lightroom. Be sure to adjust the Global one. Alternatively, you could lower the exposure with Adaptive Tonemap if you're using the non-alt presets, but I would try adjusting it with Lightroom first.
Yeah i'm also having this exposure bug, like the sky is super bright and light reflecting off of the cars are even worse. Tried turning down the exposure in lightroom setting didn't work either
Thanks for sharing this preset. I know that the game is supposed to be bleak and dead, but that shouldn't mean 'turn down the gamma and call it a day'. Your preset brings back some color without going overboard. The DoF is a nice touch when zipping around rooftops.
I really appreciate the kind words, madamimadam! There's a DOF update coming in my next update later tonight that should alleviate the issues with it impacting menus too much.
Yes, no easy way I know of to solve this unfortunately. I just toggle the preset off or depth of field off when in the menus with one of the hotkeys. I'll look into some other solutions when I have time.
Basically it's because Aiden is right in the middle of the depth of field's focal point in menus and never at all in gameplay, lol. I have two ideas, but I'm not hopeful either will work. One will keep DoF from looking cinematic and realistic when viewing objects up close as well as remove the pretty bokeh artificats from the effect, the other involves shifting the final point far left or right to accommodate the menus, but I worry this will cause unwanted functionality during regular gameplay.
Update: To my surprise. I think I found a solution. It's not perfect, but it'll keep you from having to disable DoF or the preset whenever you're on menus with Aiden in the center. I'll do more testing today and release an update asap.
So,I just created a detailed tutorial video on how to install a Reshade. I`ve done this, since many of my downloaders dont know how to do so. I experienced that media is easier to consume than reading an instruction,so I thought I might share this video on different Reshades. Maybe the Mod creator wants to pin it or add it to video section, for easier access :) If you dont like the video, feel free to delete this post :)
Hey phrozac, thanks so much! On my RTX 2070, Ryzen 3600, 16 GB RAM, 1440p, Max settings (except Shadows one notch from max), DLSS Quality mode, ray tracing off, I usually get between 55 and 60 FPS with reshade completely disabled, and about 51 to 55 FPS with all my effects on. So I want to say it's only about a 5 fps cost with it on normally, but my understanding is that it's completely dependent on your hardware.
Most of the effects I use aren't very performance hungry. The most performance hungry ones would be Depth of field and sharpening.
If you disable my depth of field, the performance hit would be even smaller. You may be able to find a different sharpening shader that doesn't cost as much performance as the one I use (adaptive sharpening). Just be sure to move the sharpening shader to the same place in the load order (the shader list in the top half of the reshade menu) where mine is to achieve a similar effect. The biggest concern is you don't really want to have sharpening being applied to film grain, so you want to place it higher than film grain in the load order. It can get a bit weird otherwise.
Alternatively to disabling depth of field and sharpening, you could disable vignette, fisheye horizontal (decimal on number pad), and film grain and get a little fps back while leaving DoF and sharpening on, which have a bigger impact on the overall image. The Alt presets may be ever-so-slightly less performance intensive than the regular ones, but I suspect they are within 1 fps performance of each other.
I hope this helps! Let me know what you think, what kind of performance you get on your specs, and please endorse if you end up liking one of my presets.

any way to change that?

Not terribly heavy on FPS hit either.

Will test these theories when I can.
Also, thank you so much!!!
Hope the explanation is some consolation.
Cheers,
