I am the creator of this mod but since I'm a nice guy, I have allowed PossiblyFromMichigan to upload my mod as his own, so don't get all surprised because he has put my name as the creator when he published it. He also has full credit for the mod no matter what so please don't bother him and instead reply to the post underneath this one as I do not get notifications if you just add a comment to his mod page.
Hey im sorry to annoy ya amazing mod I just cant get it to work.. I took out my data3.pk file and replaced it with this I got in the game I cant tell a difference. Idk if I did it correctly as I havent played in a long time if you could help that would be great thank you (:
If its okay with you to hop in a discord call and maybe help whenever you can my discord is Yaseen#6725 thanks again sorry to bother ya just really wanna try to get this awesome mod to work !! I also uninstalled everything i might have had. and followed your steps
I am not sure why some of you guys are having problems with getting the mod to work, my guess is it could be a problem with your game files, maybe you have other mods conflicting with the FOV mod or something else.
Possible Fix:
Delete everything inside of the Dying Light folder located by default: C: > Program Files (x86) > Steam > Steamapps > common > Dying Light. Once you have deleted everything, verify the game files by locating the game on steam > right click the game > Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files. Once this is done, put the mod back into your DW and it may be fixed.
If this does not work, maybe try restarting your computer/laptop, as most issues get resolved just by a simple reboot.
Go to Documents > DyingLight > out > settings > video.scr. Open with any text editor e.g. Sublime Text, Notepad++ etc. Go to the line "Extra Game Fov (20.00)" Change the 20.00 to lets say, 60.00. Now load up dying light and see if it fixes the issue. If 60 is too much fov for you just turn it down a little bit. This is NOT a guaranteed fix just a possible fix.
Last fix (hopefully) Again I'm a dumbass and fucked up the layout of the files again, I will upload new version in a minute but I need to fix the issue first.
Everything works fine, but unfortunately the machine gun has no butt. Perhaps they forgot to make it in the first place. In principle, as for me, the position of the weapon could have been left unchanged, and only the viewing angle could have been affected. But thanks anyway!
Not our problem if it doesn't work, either refer to the solutions\fixes, or get the f*#@ out of here and fix it yourself, we are not your toy so don't speak to us that way and f*#@ing fix it.
Ik like some people man, I make a WHOLE ASS sticky post for people to refer to, and not ONE of them f*#@ing refered to it. Dying Light nexus people are so retarded
so after researching a bit and trying out some stuff ive come to the conclusion that every time the games boots up default_levels.xml literally just resets itself. even if put on read only while the values are still changed it dosent actually do anything in game. do you have anything else that you do to make this work?
