I was surprised that nobody has found out how to remove the obnoxious lens flares from this game, so I went into the files and removed the lines responsible for rendering them.
This mod does NOT remove the more subtle effects like godrays, lens dirt, or glow. Only the intrusive, and massively over-scaled flare itself.
INSTALL: Simply drag the mod into the Data directory of the Root folder: Dyinglight/DW/Data3.pak
