Regarding loot in the Hellraid DLC map: The mod is currently not configured to affect weapon loot found in the Hellraid map. I'm looking into how it would be best to configure the mod to allow for enabling it to affect loot in that map.
As the map is configured to increase the rarity of weapon loot based on your Rank in that map, one possibility is to bump up the rarities of weapons found at each Rank and different levels of this bump similar to how the mod functions on normal maps.
Another possibility is to completely alter the looting experience and to include non-Hellraid weapons in the loot. Again, still looking into what might be the best way to integrate the mod to that map or to offer settings that players might actually want.

First thanks for this mod it's pretty darn awesome!
I hate to ask but I think either I am not seeing the answer to my question due to me just not seeing what is in my face or it's not directly mentioned in the readme's etc.
How do you change the timer at the end of the prison dlc?
EDIT: Ah dang I see now to modify the prison stuff the customization file is in the main "DW/data3.pak" file and not in the dlc39_1 data3.pak file.
Hi. I'll give this a try and see if killing the demolisher also causes a crash for me.
To help with reproducing the crash you are experiencing: 1) Have you added any other mods into your installed Data3.pak file (proper way of adding mods) or altered the Data0.pak file (improper way of adding mods)? 2) Are you using the 'v1 Default' mod version or the 'v2 Pre-customized' mod version? 3) Have you customized the mod files at all to enable/disable any mod options? 4) Have you repeated this more than one time and it crashes each time on killing the demolisher while this mod is installed, or it only happened one time?
1. The prison mod does not conflict with other mods, and there is no duplicate data. 2. Only use ADDON, Install - Add Contained 'DataDLC39_1.pak' File To Game Install's 'DW_DLC39' folder 3. nope, All I did was put DataDLC39_1.pak into the folder 4. four times in online mode with friend, After killing the Demolitionist, the host will jump directly back to the desktop, Friend return to single player game, restart at the prison gate...
I will continue testing.. Here is the game version on Steam, everyone has purchased all the DLC. I don't know if there is a difference
Thank you very much for answering all of those questions!
The trouble is that you have noted that you have not installed the actual mod, just the ADDON pak.
That file is an ADDON pak and it is noted in several places that it requires the main mod to also be installed in order to function as it is an addon to the main file.
"- Prison Addon pak file requires the base mod's Data3.pak file to be installed to function."
"- ADDON - Affects Loot in the Prison Map (requires main mod installed)"
"To install "Prison Map Addon" 1) Ensure the main mod's Data3.pak file is installed as it is required for this mod addon to function"
Please ensure you also install the main mod as is required for the changes in the ADDON pak file for the prison to function. Having only the ADDON pak installed will have those files trying to look for and load things from the main mod file, but that not also being installed is what is causing the crash.
If the crash issue still occurs after the main mod is also installed, please let me know so that I can keep looking to find a cause.
Just saw: Prison Addon pak file requires the base mod's Data3.pak file to be installed to function. I will test it later to see if it is normal. sorry to waste your time because I am not proficient in English and have not read it in full. Thanks for your reply!
Hi. I only support the current game version with my mods. Many players have mentioned across some of my mods that they still use the 1.42.0 game version instead of allowing their game to update.
Each time someone mentions wanting a version of one of my mods for that game version I ask for them to give a reason for why they have not updated their game. There must be something about that game version that has led so many to stay at it instead of updating, so I state that I would consider offering a version of my mods for that game version if the reason is a good/valid one.
To date, not a single person has responded back with any reason at all -let alone a good reason- for why I should offer a version of my mods for such an extremely old game version.
Do you and others know something about that version I don't that would keep many players from updating their game to the current version?
It's because 1.42.0 is the only cracked version with multiplayer. Yes, I'll admit it. I downloaded a cracked version of the game. I could've bought it, but my friend played with a cracked copy, and since we wanted to coop, I also had to be on a cracked copy. Hopefully, that answers your question.
Other than that, I'll go buy the game now. Apparently, it's only 10 dollars for the platinum edition on some sites; I think my friend can afford that.
Hello. Instructions are perfectly clear. There is a Data3.pak file in the main download file within a folder called "Install - Add Contained 'Data3.pak' File To Game Install's 'DW' folder".
You can verify this file exists within the download by previewing the contents of the main download file - you will see this folder containg this Data3.pak file.
The installation instructions instruct to enter into this folder to find the Data3.pak file, which you would then add to your "Game Install's 'DW' folder".
_____ The optional download file does not contain a Data3.pak file, because it notes that it only contains pre-merged files for use with the exact mods it is noted as being for.
However, this optional file shouldn't be used unless you are installing and using the exact mods it specifies it is for. If you are using that optional compatibility file, you would already have the Data3.pak file for one of those mods installed that all of the mods would be dumped into, then the compatibility files added to make all of those specified mods all load properly - as instructed in that optional file's installation instructions.
More accurately, there is not an easy or semi-easy way as there technically is a way. However, to do it would require creating a mod that creates entirely new loot items for every item in the game due to how looting is configured in Dying Light.
Loot in Dying Light is configured to have all items as single items, and these single items are looted or produced by blueprints.
To produce or loot more than x1 of an item, you would need to change the item that is looted into being a "bundle" item, and looting this "bundle" will give you the list of items it is configured to give and in the quantity it is configured to give.
Taking gun ammo as an example, there is an item for 1 bullet, and there is a bundle item "ammo" item that is in loot sources that is configured to give you like x5 of that 1 bullet when you loot it.
However, if you wanted to loot x5 Gauze instead of a single gauze, you would need to create a mod that creates a custom bundle item that is configured to give x5 of the Gauze item. The mod would then need to go into all of the different loot file and replace the Gauze item with the custom bundle item. This way your custom bundle item would be what gets looted and looting it would give you x5 of the Gauze item.
Custom bundle item versions for all of the different items that can be looted by the player would then need to be made and each one configured for giving a specific amount of each item when that bundle gets looted, then all of the official, single loot items in the looting files would also then need to be replaced with the custom bundle items.
If I'll get "Guru reward" during the Harran Prison run - will I have a chance to find a different gold weapon than those that are scripted in the vanilla game?
Hi. Sorry for not catching your question sooner. I think Nexus doing the work on the notification system about the time you asked this may have caused me to miss you asking this. Sorry.
Yes, you will. By default, the mod expands the weapons that can be found in loot pools to including a very large selection of weapons, including all Legendary weapons. As long as you also install the Prison Addon file, it will expand the mod to also affecting loot in the prison.
Regardless of what tier of rewards you achieve, or what difficulty you are playing the game on, the chests at the end will contain better and more varied items as rewards while using this mod and in the rarity color chances you have the mod configured to spawn.
You will find many different kinds of Gold weapons in the chests as the rewards for all reward tiers, especially if you have the mod set to only spawn Gold weapons such as the Gold Only pre-customized version of the mod does.
I just installed the default rarity increase Data3.pak file and went looting in the Slums. Result: I found an abundance of all types of items, in all rarities and in all types of containers, including on bodies.
I installed the Gold Only pre-customized Data3.pak file and went looting in the Slums. Result: I found an abundance of all types of items, in all rarities and in all types of containers, including on bodies. The weapons that I looted were all exclusively of Gold rarity as the pre-customized mod version is configured to make them.
Please ensure that: 1) You are using the mod on the current 1.49.x (.0-.8) game version that the mod is noted as being compatible with. (Some people still use much older versions that the mod is not compatible with due to those old game versions lacking elements in files that are present in the current game version).
2) You do not have any mods installed improperly into the Data0.pak file. (You may have no mods installed in the proper way of using the Data3.pak, but perhaps you had installed mods in the past and the mod author instructed you to improperly install their mod files directly into the Data0.pak file. This file should never be altered by any mods, ever. If this may be the case, you should try to restore an unaltered, clean copy of the Data0.pak file, which is quickly done using Steam's File Integrity Check function to download a clean copy of Data0.pak to your game installation if it finds that it had been altered in the past.)
