Sorry, I've only got limited in experience in modding, but could you put a more detailed instruction list on how and where to install? Would love to try this, thank you
Hello, the first thing you should do is make a backup copy of some files. go to the folder where your game is installed inside it you should see a folder called DW and a folder called DATA in it has 3 files that support example ORIGINALMusic_1.csb ORIGINALMusic_2.csb ORIGINALMusic_3.csb
JUST CHANGE THE NAME AFTER YOU DRAG THE MOD
SECOND STEP WHEN YOU EXIT THAT FOLDER AND RE-ENTER DW you will see several data.pak in which you will see the DATA03.pak it does the same to this one, change the name to ORIGINALData03.pak and place the name of the mod
(NOTE: only to play in multiplayer it will let you play with people who have the same mod, but there is a way to install the mod without changing original game data so you can play with mod and cooperative multiplayer) I would teach you that but it would take a long time to explain in letters greetings)
First of all great Mod...but...but...I ran into a little issue...and I don't know if it's caused by the mod or my own stupidity....for some reason most of the soundtracks only play on the left Channel from my headphones...maybe it's my own incompetence but is there a way to fix that?.... Still tho I love the Theme change and everything els. You have my respect man
First of all, I want to thank you for your kind words! Yes, indeed, a lot of work has been done on cutting, selecting and oranging tracks. Moreover, it was extremely difficult to find music compositions suitable for the atmosphere, especially for this game. However, my love for Dying Light and almost two years of work on modding gave me the strength to finish the project and put it online so that others like me could enjoy the transformation of the game.
I want to answer your question in detail - the thing is that the very first tracks were added almost blindly and I had absolutely no idea how they would actually sound. Some of them were converted to stereo format and they sound only on the left side, unfortunately. So it's not your fault, please don't worry about it! Although I am well aware that such things can be inconvenient ... However, I want to add that this is only a small (10%) part of the tracks! I'm afraid that the phrase "most of the soundtracks" sounds exaggerated.
I returned to working with Dying Light years later and this feeling is extremely unusual for me. Maybe after a while I will be able to fix all the shortcomings and put the perfect version of WSA on the network. It would be a great happiness for me :)) It is VERY SAD that the global modification, of which this music mod was a part, was removed from the NEXUS site due to the lack of permission from the developers of other mods that were included in the build. Maybe now I can finish what I started. Well, in conclusion... the mod could not find a wide audience of fans, so all the efforts seemed pointless to me. With best wishes...
P.s. Have you heard the nightly soundtracks? And how do you like the chase at night? Brutal and beautiful, isn't it? :)))
....For the night soundtrack...I actually provoked chase just to be able to hear that good stuff.....also I just got recently gave Dying Light a revised...and I have to be honest with ya...I completely forgot about this post :-D Therefore I wanted to reinstall the mod remembered the issues...and was surprised that someone else had this problem and wrote it in here...only to realize a couple of seconds later that it was me who wrote this post...welp...Greetings from Alzheimer's I guess ^^
Thank you for your detailed and nice answer even tho it's been almost a year by now... I wish you a great new Year <3
I'm sure it doesn't work. Each DLC has its own music pack, so there should be no changes to The Following :( *The mod only makes changes to the original game
Well, if I can find the time to write a guide, I will definitely share the link with you here. However, this process is extremely time-consuming and requires up to 6 applications to cut, convert, unpack, and package tracks into a readable game format. Moreover, there are very important nuances without which the engine simply will not be able to recognize the added music. You have to be a fanatic to complete your soundtrack. Thats why in description i wrote - this is my big secret! :)
has anyone been able to get this to work? if so how, really excited to get this working, have already downloaded, unzipped, and placed it in file with exe. file
First, thank you for this mod :) I think i have somewhat of an issue, music works but tracks last really short, like they are cut off by regular dying light event music (virals spawning etc.). Could you possibly help?
So i installed it into my game directory and when i launch the game, i reach the main menu and hear nothing. I can hear when i click but no music at all. Maybe i am installing it wrong, just can't get any music

go to the folder where your game is installed
inside it you should see a folder called DW
and a folder called DATA in it has 3 files that support example
ORIGINALMusic_1.csb
ORIGINALMusic_2.csb
ORIGINALMusic_3.csb
JUST CHANGE THE NAME AFTER YOU DRAG THE MOD
SECOND STEP
WHEN YOU EXIT THAT FOLDER AND RE-ENTER DW
you will see several data.pak in which you will see the DATA03.pak
it does the same to this one, change the name to ORIGINALData03.pak and place the name of the mod
