Later in the game, nighttime chases just become a minor minigame and, for others, almost the only source of fun. There is a point where you just wish to keep being chased instead of entering the Escaping state. This mod offers multiple options to make those pursuits longer or never-ending.

Permissions and credits
For the adrenaline addicts, I've made this mod in order to provide a better nighttime experience.

--- IMPORTANT DETAIL ---
When you lose sight of the Infected, you enter an "Escaping" state, confirmed by the gray edge around your minimap. Let's call it cooldown.

The default Cooldown timer seems really short if you are looking to get a good chase. I remember trying to record a long 4-star chase, only to be disappointed by the rather stupid AI that kept losing sight of me, thus resetting the chase.

If you enter a safehouse, the pursuit will END. This is actually the only way to end a pursuit if you download the Never-ending version, along with the rise of the sun (6 a.m.).

Goind Underwater is affected by this mod! It will also get doubled or infinite, depending on the mod you have chosen.

--- INSTALLATION ---

1. Download your desired version of the mod (only one of them).
2. a. If you don't have any other MODS (like, NONE), replace the Data3.pak found in Dying Light (installation directory) > DW with the Data3.pak found inside the archive you downloaded.
2. b. If you HAVE other MODS, in order to keep them, open the Data3.pak found in Dying Light (installation directory) > DW with an archive app (like 7z or WinRar, the same app you open the downloaded archive with). You should see a folder named data. Now, open the archive you have downloaded and drag the data folder from this archive to the Data3.pak archive.

--- VERSIONS ---

Longer 2
 - the cooldown timers are doubled.
Longer Immersive - the cooldown timers are significantly increased the bigger your Pursuit Level is. You'll have a tough time escaping a Level 4 Pursuit. Also, going Underwater no longer helps you escape.
Longer Inf - the cooldown timers are infinite. Once initiated, the Pursuit will only end when you enter a Safehouse or survive until sunrise. Otherwise, the Infected will keep searching for you. Needless to say going Underwater will only help you enter Cooldown mode.
Longer Permanent - the cooldown timer isn't even triggered. The pursuers will be permanently aware of your position, thus the edge of the minimap will be permanently red, unless you enter a safehouse or survive until daytime.

--- UPDATES ---

- Tweaked the files so the Area Of Pursuit is 3 kilometers long at all 4 Levels. Not even The Countryside is that big. (Beforehand, I was not even aware that you can escape a pursuit by exiting the Pursuit Area - which is like 90 meters at Level 1 Chase)

--- CONFLICTS ---

This mod conflicts with any other mod that changes the aggression.scr file inside Data3.pak > data > scripts > nightaggression

--- WORK IN PROGRESS ---

I REALLY intend to make a version where the Infected will always be aware of your position, thus making it impossible to enter Cooldown mode.  (Finally did it!!!)
I'll also make other versions where the timers are tripled or quadrupled or even more, only if it is requested!
