    Okay, it should now work! Of course, let me know if it still isn't working.

    Maybe it's just me but it feels the 10x durability mod is no longer working as intended due to Dying Light's steam summer sale update. Perhaps I'm just losing it, but has anyone else noticed this to?

      Not just you, for some reason the files don't seem to be affecting anything. I'll have to look into it later.
      *Update*
      So, it appears to be overridden by the community event going on right now. It should be over soon, or you can opt out of it in the options. Options > Online > Community Event > *select NO*
      It should work after that.

      I appreciate the response and letting me know what the cause is. It did seem as if an update is what knocked it out of whack even though it was only a community event but nevertheless, it's still considered an update.

      Much thanks!

    I can't get this mod to work. I follow the instructions of the guide and still, nothing changes. Although Dying Light gives me a notice that I am using a modded version of the game now.

      Same here, new update or something? I'm also unable to deal any body damage, maybe damage to the head every once in a while but that's it. Also restarting with a fresh save get's rid of the crafting ability via "you need the skill ' ' to be able to craft". At least to what I remember trying.

      I'm looking into it. I'll have to relearn how to do it since it's been so long. Sorry for the issues!

      Alright, just uploaded the newest version. Let me know if it doesn't work. Also, I have always been getting the modded version notice when I start the game. Not sure why it would have only happened to you now.

    Everyone is proposing some nice change to the durability, so i will propose a change also. The durability should stay even getting increase but instead of unlimited durability it should be unlimited repair so the durability stay to the game.

      I'm not sure if it will work on a cracked version of the game (that is what you are referring to, right?). It should work in single player, though. If it doesn't, let me know.

    Could you make a 100x or 10x version?

      Hi

      Im pretty sure I know how you can do this easily.
      Open default_levels.xml in notepad or notpad++.
      Find this settings:
      <prop n="BluntWpnDurabilityLoss" v="0.5"/>
      <prop n="CutWpnDurabilityLoss" v="0.5"/>

      I guess this is how this work:
      1.0 = normal durability
      0.5 = 50% longer durability
      0.1 = 90% longer durability
      0.0 = unlimited durability

      So adjust the numbers to what you want.

      Yes I can, but if you follow Tar's directions, you can edit it to your own liking.

      Where is default_levels.xml located, please? Thanks.
      ***Edit. Well, I sort of found it. Have to use peazip and view Data3.pak in archive mode, then double-click data and open with Notepad ++. I DO disable write protection but when I change values and save the original values remain when I check. Any help appreciated.

      ***Edit 2 Okay, I found out how to do it. It's MY way of doing it and no doubt not the best and not the easiest way. There's a mod here called Simple Pakker. It's for this game. Download it and read the instructions. I copied health stats (999 health and regen and such) from a health mod and then pasted just those lines into the data/skills/default_levels.xml of THIS mod (opened as an archive in peazip), overwriting the health stats of this mod. I then copied that altered xml onto my desktop because peazip just wouldn't save the file properly (yes, I disabled read only). Then I used the Simple Pakker mod and placed this durability mod into it (remember reading the instructions). I navigated to data/skills/default_levels.xml in Pakker and replaced the default_levels.xml of THIS durability mod with the default_levels.xml that I had saved to desktop. I ran Pakker since I had another mod I wanted that wasn't using the Data3.pak file. That produced a Data3.pak that had the change I wanted. I'm doing this from memory and may have missed some fine details. I can only say, just work it out like I did, or read up on how to mod this game, which may take a few days to get the hang of. Don't know if this will help anyone but here it is.

      Note that I may be missing something simple that will make it as simple as Tar says.

    If you use this while having a weapon that has, say, 10/35 durability left, it will still show that but the weapon will no longer degrade. That's all fine. Just pointing that out in case some had questions. Nice mod.

    So I did exactly what the desc said, but my world seems to have random assets flying around depending on my camera angle. Any sort of fix for that?

    Hey, do these mods come with a risk of getting banned? I recently got a new pc and lost all my save files, my gf has a nearly maxed out character and it'd take me forever to catch up to her normally, but I don't wanna get banned ^^' Noticed that there was a warning about that on the Developer and Cheat Menu mod, and I was just wondering if it applies to all mods. Sorry for asking stupid questions :'D

      I'm not entirely sure if these files can get you banned, most likely if you don't get reported, you should be fine. Though, if you don't want to risk it, probably shouldn't use it. I haven't gotten banned. (yet)
      Also, sorry for the late response.
