      Unfortunately the link doesn't work.
      I think the current version doesn't work with v1.47.0

      File no longer available. :(

      Mod doesn't seem to work with the current version of the game. I tested it with a shotgun and the Virals came running. Both in the Slums and the Countryside.

    Game crashes when loading in to Old Town.
    Was fine loading into The Slums.

    Removing the mod files solved the issue.

      Go to Dying Light/DW/Data3.pak and open with 7zip or a similar program, inside there'll only be a single file named placeholder if your game is not modded. Inside it make a folder named data, inside data folder make another one named scripts and inside scripts make another one named inventory and put the 2 files you download in the inventory folder, it should end up looking like this when you open up the Data3.pak file ( data/scripts/inventory with the 2 files inside inventory). That's it.

    Does anyone know how to increase the zoom for Upgraded Crossbow aiming mode manually? Im slowly learning how to mod my own game and I cant figure this one out...

    Short answer:
    • "data\scripts\inventory\inventory_special.scr"
    • Line 6410 - AimFov(1.6);
    • Change 1.6 to a higher value (like 1.8 or 2.0?) to increase zoom amount, lower to decrease. Default is 1.6

    Longer, more detailed answer and steps to make the adjustment:
    • Note: If you are already using a modified inventory_special.scr file in your Data3.pak file, you should of course open and further modify that existing file with this modification made to it and not start with a clean copy of the file - doing so would wipe any existing modifications made in the previously modified file.
    1. Open your Data0.pak file with WinRAR and browse to: "data\scripts\inventory\inventory_special.scr"
    2. Copy this file out to your computer.
    3. Close the Data0.pak WinRAR window.
    4. Open this copied file with Notepad (right-click file > "Open with..." > Select Notepad, or from within Notepad program).
    5. In this file, skip down to line 6410 (or hit CTRL+F to open the search function and search for "crossbow_upgraded_shot_XX" which is found on line 6411).
    6. Line 6410 is "AimFov(1.6);" (one line above the above search term) and is part of the Upgraded Crossbow item definition block.
    7. Change this Field of View value to a different value to increase or decrease the 'zoom' when aiming with that crossbow. Higher value = more zoom. (1.6 is default)
    8. Save the change to this file.
    9. Open your Data3.pak file with WinRAR and browse to (or create if needed) the same directory structure for the file you've modified ("data\scripts\inventory").
    10. Copy your modified file into this "inventory" folder of the Data3.pak WinRAR window.
    11. Done.
    12. Modify further to your liking.

    I hope this helps.

    Do the shots from NPCs still make noise, or does this change it for everything using the weapons?

    Is there a way to make the gun shot hearable for human and infected (except Runners of course ) ?

    I think mod author didn't care to point out that this mod is for "The Following" and not the old game. Anyone that plays non enhanced (without "The Following" DLC) 1.6.2 version of the game, this mod is NOT for you.

      It's interesting your comment , i have added the attribute : silenced(true); , this attribute are only for the BOW and CROSSBOW; recently added by the developpers, i have add it for all firearms weapons, so i think then you must got the following DLC for work, if some others peoples can confirm me ?

      If yes i edit my title and description !

      when you add a function that is present in a DLC, you sure as hell require that DLC to work. DL The Following ED has some additional files that has new functions in them. In a regular game, bows don't use "silenced" function. They simply have no "noise" parameter for infected to react, exclude the elemental and explosive arrows. Simple as that. With the new version a new parameter had been added, for crossbows I believe. A "silenced" function you added to weapon parameters need to be called from somewhere. In "Enhanced Edition The Following" there is a file where this function is called from, unlike in 1.6.2 version of the game.

      ok MGena93 thx for the precision, i add this detail in the descrition of the mod !

      if you (or others) have an idea for find a solution for remove firearmrs noise on the classic game only, i will update this mod imediatly !

      i have find NoiseType parameter in inventory_special.scr and inventory_gen.scr, like

      NoiseType("EXPLOSION");
      NoiseType("NONE");
      NoiseType("HEAVY_SHOT");
      NoiseType("LIGHT_SHOT");

      its maybe a way for a solution.

      this might work, yes. if there is something like a "GUNSHOT" in these noise types, then you can definitely edit weapon stats in a classic game (if you have one). I have purchased "The Following" anyway, so there is no way I can check that. Also, just so you know, the "Enhanced Edition" files will never work with a classic game. They use too many new function calls and new references, so planting "ED" files into classic will always cause a crash. Good luck!

      Non-The Following attributes that I've used in previous versions of the game for my weapons are:

      NoiseType("NONE");
      SoundsCauseAggression(false);

      I don't think the NoiseType change is needed as the Sounds attribute should suffice, but it can't hurt to add it also.
