ZOMBIE XRAY graphics removal mod for DYING LIGHT on PC.
Nvidia videocards only!
Currently working on Dying Light version 1.6.2 (01/01/2016)
This is a simple mod to remove the Skeleton Xray graphics effect when doing a melee/takedown on a zombie in Dying Light for PC.
It also removes the Skeleton Xray on stun attacks too (When it goes 'slowmo' for a few seconds when attacking a zombie with a hand weapon).
*** INSTALLATION ***
* Copy ALL the files and folders in the DyingLightXrayMod zip file into your Dying Light installation folder.
eg: C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Dying Light
This should include:
ShaderCache (folder which is empty but is required)
ShaderFixes (folder containing 1 file)
d3d11.dll
d3dcompiler_46.dll
d3dx.ini
nvapi64.dll
* IMPORTANT - DO NOT RENAME ANY OF THE FILES OR FOLDERS AS THE MOD WILL NOT WORK!
* Copying the files into the Dying Light folder should not overwrite any existing files so it should not ask to replace any files.
* Load the game and enjoy! :)
*** UNINSTALL ***
* Manually delete the files and folders listed above, be careful not to delete any other files named d3d, d3d11, dxgi or similar as the game may not work.
*** PLEASE NOTE! ***
* The mod cannot be 'toggled' on/off ingame so if you wish to disable/delete the mod either delete the file in the ShaderFixes folder OR delete all the files listed above.
* This mod does NOT work with AMD/ATI videocards, only NVIDIA. Unfortunately I have not found a way for this to work with AMD/ATI videocards.
