Do you think its possible to adapt this to dead island definitive, ive read that its the same engine but i suppose it has different encryption keys. Anyway surely most usefull tools yet. cheers
Hey just a question, is it possible to change models in this game? I was thinking about changing all standards merchants to Resident Evil 4's Merchant. Does the dev tools work for that?
Doesn’t work, when I try to change something other than “menu_common_PC” it gives an error that it cannot find a .dds file in the .dat file. Also the game crashes when I change the texture in "menu_common_PC".
1) Make sure you're trying to edit the right .dat file (the texture can be in other .dat files too) - Also i have just found out that quickbms sometimes creates .ttf files instead of .dat so yeah, i need to fix it asap 2) Some .rpack files weight is nearly around 4gb, try to extract it with quickbms_4gb_files.exe (and reimport the same way - reimport_4gb) 3) Which texture are you trying to replace and which settings are you using to save .dds texture? 4) Make sure .dds1 has THE SAME name as the original one (only extension must be renamed) 5) If you're apparently making your texture less detailed than the original, you may need to add some rainbow noise to other half-transparent texture (texture with alpha channel), so the binary code can be flooded and it does some magic, believe me
