I really enjoy the mod, I tried changing the values manually, even though I doubled the rates of all the runnerxp (based on what you already had, making it 4x the rate) I still get 80xp toward agility max at night, although changing other modifiers made the runnerxp after doing (very long) escapes from volatile quite worth it for agility, can you give us specific values to modify?
The values that helped me the most were the "RunnerXPClimbEdgeGrab", "RunnerXPClimbFromBottom", and "RunnerXPJumpOn". This mod sets those values to 40, 25, and 15 respectively. Those would be the values I would change if I were you. Have a look through all the RunnerXP lines, you'll recognize the names of most of them to associate with the actions you perform in game.
If you don't want to mess with the edits, right now I'm working on 2 additional versions of the mod: TripleXP and InsaneXP. Should be up in a few.
If you want to make it easy just look for "RunnerXPFactor" and change it from 1.0 to 2.0 to get double xp day or night. Although "RunnerXPNightFactor" will multiply your xp again so you may have to do some adjusting for night time. XD You can add lines for survivor xp and fighter xp and change those multipliers as well.
Thank you for the replies, I'm loving the balanced agility although I've added a running XP factor of 1 (I see you've added that in your insane version) for some reason the values didn't stick until I downloaded your new file, replaced my old one and edited the values after that point. (really weird!)
Adding this mod to Data3.pak makes agility increases lower, but you have a +1 increment just for sprinting. Also, everything seems to have a delay on it. I feel like when I stop moving, instead of immediately stopping, I'm wandering a lot instead of just stopping. So not even the work around is really that great. Best to just grind agility XP on one building.
Using this mod would require replacing the file that comes with the Weapon Degredation mod. Unfortunately with the current way we have to mod, theses issues will come up.
That being said, you CAN edit your existing "default_levels.xml" file to change the XP values. Just open it in Notepad and search for "runnerxp". That'll get you to the section that contains the values.
This mod simply does not work for me. I tried all three variants and none work, proper installation guaranteed.
Not only that but for some reason the range of my melee weapons decreased to almost zero - resulting in me swinging my weapon in point blank range against zombies without the zombie getting hit at all.
I am using no other mods and the game worked normally before i tried this mod.
actually it seems to be a bit nuanced, but it does actually end up netting you more xp because it gives you +1 xp in loads on top of everything else -- in 1.15 it seems to work, but if you don't notice that fact it does seem completely useless.
For some reason this mod doesn't work for me. I extracted it correctly and the game works but the xp levels are the same. I changed the values myself but still there's no change. Can you help me?
You can edit the values yourself. Open the file in Notepad and search for "runnerxp". That'll get you to the start of the section containing all the values.
