Introduction

Drug Dealer Simulator is a great game by itself, and I would fully recommend playing the game without installing any mods before going on to installing mods. It just makes both experiences so much better.

It is strongly recommended that you start a new game and do the tutorial before installing this modpack.
Or install the Skip Tutorial Save Game mod. Also check out the known bugs section at the very least.

This modpack's goal is to provide a more challenging, more convenient, and more balanced version of the Drug Dealer Simulator as seamlessly as possible.

A lot of thought and brain power went into the changes to the file values. I made many equations to help me account for balance and provide it consistently. In my opinion, using math equations is the only way for something to be truly balanced in any game. I say that as someone who sucks at math in general and has gotten more Fs in math than any other class.

Below are the equations I used for most lab equipment to calculate the price of it.

Variables:
- d is the drug price
- c is the cartel ordering price
- m is the maximum amount of grams the old equipment can hold.
- b is how much money per batch using the previous equipment

- j is the price of your old equipment
- L represents the number of batches. Ideally, you want to use the numbers 5, 10, and 20. This is defines how many times want to use equipment before you can upgrade to the next tier
- o represents the price of any equipment needed to finish a product; for example, meth needs a crystalizer, which costs $500, so you would fill out 500 above.
- g represents the original vanilla price of the equipment your trying to buy.
- k is the amount of money you've made from L batches, minus the price of your old equipment, minus the amount of any additional equipment to finish the product divided by 2, so only half the price of the other equipment is considered. along with the adding the og price.

I would describe this as baloney, but it surprisingly works really well. It can probably be simplified a lot, but hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. A lot of care, time, and brain juice went into these mods, some more than others. Overall, there are 151 files, which is about 75 modded files. So this modpack does modify a lot.

What This Modpack Does
As I stated before, this modpack changes many things while keeping things like balance in mind and, in fact, makes the game more balanced in many ways than its original state. For a more technical description, check out the individual mods listed in the "included mods" section.

Lab Equipment
Changes lab equipment to have better sizes and be more diverse and expensive for upgrades, with the focus on making the player have to use certain equipment based on how far they are into the game. Early in the game, you'll be using jars, the mixing tray, and the small liquid tray; midgame, you'll be using the electric mixer and the medium lab mixer, etc. This makes progression more rewarding and mixing less tedious as you get into the late game and get bigger and better products. No longer will you just skip to the Large Lab Mixer and the Flask.

Larger Packaging
To make mixing even less tedious, especially late in the game, at the grocery store in Sector C, there is packaging for every legal ingredient, all coming in bigger quantities. No more will you be sitting in your villa and combining baking soda for 5 minutes. As a balance, the smugglers have increased the prices per gram by 10 cents.

Apartments and Villas
Apartments are much more expensive. This slows down progression a lot and really encourages players to take their time with expansion. When coming up with the price, I thought about many things, like where the player is. Early game, you want to be at Sector A; midgame, you want to be at Sector B; and late game, you want to be at Sector C. We are again defining these stages more. Taking into account things like Meterage, what area it's in, what sector it's in, What drugs sell in that area, and save points. Apartment bonuses for clients and dealers have been boosted a lot.

Villas have not changed much. The only thing changing for Villas is that they take longer to build.

DEA Raids and Police
Although I didn't directly touch DEA raids, they are A LOT more dangerous due to the more expensive Lab Equipment and Expensive Apartments. This makes getting a hideout raided absolutely devastating and really encourages players to play stealth, otherwise they could lose tens of thousands of dollars. This also encourages living in unraidable spaces early on, like Garages, but to expand your maximum number of clients and dealers, you still need to buy hideouts. So while you can keep your equipment safe, a lot of money can go down the drain really fast if you play too sloppy.

At lower exposition there will be slightly more police out and about. On higher expos, there will be a lot more police out and about. This is done mainly to make higher expos more punishing, making sneaking more favorable in the end.
Police search time has also been decreased, as no one wants to waste 8 to 10 seconds every few minutes wondering the streets.

Clientele
While keeping the original feeling in mind, clients have a chance to order anything anywhere, unlike older versions of the game. That being said, Richer Places will order more in quantity of cheaper products, and poorer places will order less in quantity of more expensive products. So while things will mostly be the same as before, you may see the occasional small Coke order in Sector A or a huge weed order in Sector C.

The maximum number of clients per area has been increased, so you can have more clients, but clients take twice as long to show up. Loosing clients decreases rep a lot more, and ODing Clients loses rep even more; this makes mixing much more essential.

Dealer leveling speed has been decreased, max level has been increased, and max order size has been increased to 500g as well. This helps scale the early game and makes the late game more rewarding. There's also been a change to the minimum; Dealers will no longer order 5g, and instead the minimum they can order is 20g. Lab Training costs have increased, and lab crew levels are twice as slow as well.

The streets are also more populated, similar to older versions of the game. This does not mean more samplers, but just more population, making the ghetto feel less empty.

Clients will also refer to drugs by many more names.
See the spoiler for the list of newly added names.

Show

Marihuana - marijuana, pot, cannabis
Amphetamine - whiz
Ecstasy - caps, eckies, E, XTC
Crystal Meth - ice, glass
Heroin - Smack, H, harry, horse
Cocaine - white lady, blow, white dust, Charlie, flake
LSD mix - trips, Lucy
Mushrooms - mushies, magics
DMT - Dimitri

Gangs
Gangs have been overhauled a lot. The time between orders has not been adjusted, but rather the amount of drugs they request has been increased. Excluding the first sample delivery, Ballena will order between 0.5 and 5 kilos of Coke for $45 per gram. Keiji will order between 1 kilo and 20 kilos for $13 per gram. While Ballena is better, Keiji isn't that much worse and is still very viable for those who want him or are given him. To combat these changes, the amount you can order from Eddie has been increased significantly as well.

Player
It will take much longer for the player to level up. This is done to slow down game progression, giving the player more time to earn money and enjoy the game. The amount of perk points has also been decreased, making it so the player has to spend them more carefully.

Items
For the most part, item prices have not been changed along with decorations. Although some changes have been applied. The key price for the Sector C factory has been greatly increased to make the smugglers and sewers more useful. Acetone has been moved from the gas station to the drug store. The suitcase has been restored for old times sake.

Quality Of Life
Along with the difficulty and balancing, I've also made some quality of life changes, two of which I've already gone over (larger packaging for ingredients and quicker police searches). Dumping content will only take 1 second, so if you're trying to dump a bunch of stuff, you no longer have to wait 5 seconds every single time. No packaging blur makes it possible to see your orders when packaging the product for your clientele. A lot of spelling and grammar mistakes have been fixed. The ATM machine can take more money before Eddie calls you, locking you out. Task limit shown on HUD has been increased from 12 to 25, allowing you to see more orders at once.

Textures
There are no huge texture replacements. I have included my Heisenberg spray and my Big Brother Is Watching billboard replacer. These don't affect the game at all, besides visually.

Known Bugs
Some bugs I can't fix but can provide an easy to do workaround.

100/100 water bottles don't work.
Explanation: for some reason the values don't update which causes the game to think the bottle is empty.
Workaround: Drop it and pick it up.

Cannot level up
Explanation: Due to the way the leveling works
Workaround: Start a new game or muscle your way through. (itll catch up eventually)

Can't get past tutorial, one or two clients don't order?
Explanation:
for some reason demand tweaks effects this. No idea why.
Workaround: start a new game and finish the tutorial then install the modpack.
Or install the Skip Tutorial Save Game mod.

Installation
This modpack is packaged as a patch file, meaning you don't have to use any tool like Unreal Mod Unlocker or a mod loader. To install, simply drag and drop the Paks folder into the content folder, and then you are done.
Keep in mind that any mod that uses the same file will be completely incompatible, and any Uasset mod will overwrite any changes made by my mod. So I encourage you to use this without any other significant modifications.

Recommended Mods
Here are some mods I'd recommend downloading on top of the modpack that are 100% compatible without any patches or additional tweaks. Mods that edit weed should also be completely compatible, as long as they don't touch the shopdatabase, as my mod does not touch any weed or weed strains.

Gates Never Lock Again
Doors Dont Auto Close
Fast Re-Fills
Larger Drug Stacks
Player Stats
Stuck Dealer Fix

Skip Tutorial Save Game
