Changelogs
Version 2.1.1
Longer Hammers: small additional tweaks to better fit the idle animation.
Steel Urchin: made the cardinal spikes (North, East, West, South & Top) to be slightly longer than the others.
Eyecrusher: slightly longer dague (top spike) + made the leather grip a bit more rectangular, as if it embraced the metal shaft underneath.
Iron Sword: a tad slimmer and pointier.
Dragon's Dogma: changed the shape of the grip and that of the downward rain guard.
Vermundian Brand, Steeled Virtue & Dragon's Dogma: very slightly reduced in scale.
Dragon's Bite: slightly thinned out handle and ever so slightly longer blade.
Snagdaggers: slightly thinner blade profile to look a little closer to its inspiration, the African Ikakalaka.
Stilettos: slightly slimmer and pointier blade.
Divine Razors: slightly less angular, more rounded point.
Shield of Vernworth: changed the placement of the metal studs and made them to be the same color as the rim.
Fixed a handful of misplaced vertices on some of the weapons.
Version 2.1
Changed the structure of the mod to be more modular.
Added a Longer Hammers alternative.
Silver Cinquedea: overall refined to look more the part (smaller blade, more rounded point, smaller handle & bigger pommel).
Vermundian Brand: added a metal ring to smooth out the transition between the handle and the guard + slightly reduced the blade length (still a bit longer than vanilla).
Dragon's Dogma: enlarged the pommel to be more in balance with the guard.
Several smaller tweaks and clean-ups across multiple weapons.
Version 2.0
Updated all meshes to work with the latest version of the game.
Merged all meshes into one mod (will provide a modular version later).
Redesigned the Dragon's Vein to more resemble a Filipino Kris blade, which it was clearly based on (will update the image accordingly when I stop being lazy).
Changed/added redesigns for some of the Guard-only weapons, such as the Vernworth spear (will add images as well).
Some minor tweaks/clean-up.
Version 1.5s
Numerous changes of small size, including a rework of the Trusty Sword
Version 1.4s
Largely alleviates the shadow issue on the Steeled Virtue, which was pretty noticeable in the interior of the guard (not flawless, but the absolute best I'm able to do)
Version 1.3s
Fixes the dark areas on the Steeled Virtue
Makes the end of the Broadsword's fuller just slightly rounder
Version 1.3h
Fixes the invisible Black Matter/Cyclopean Thunder
Version 1.3.1s
Fixes a small issue on the Steeled Virtue

Fixes and adds back the upward wing-guards on the Dragon's Dogma
Version 1.2h
Few small changes, such as polishing the Eyecrusher's shaft
Version 1.2ds
Fixes some more UV map issues on the Dead Ringer and the Lindworm Fang that were left out by Capcom (probably barely noticeable)

Few small changes, such as giving the Criteria a slightly pointier point
Version 1.1us
Fixes the black textures around the Dead Ringer and the Lindworm Fang
Version 1.1sh
Fixes the missing boss on the Feather-Light Pelta (I'm apparently too lazy to fully test out my mod)

Changes the Dragon's Dogma's cross-guard while I look for a fix
Version 1.1m
Includes the missing Bane of Bones mesh
Version 1.1h
Fixes the cover image
Version 1.1gs
Few small changes, such as alleviating the clipping issue on the Dragon's Bite's handle
Version 1.1ds
Fixes the black textures around the Dead Ringer and the Lindworm Fang
This mod changes the 3D weapons model to what I believe are more grounded and appealing versions of their original design. Based purely on weapon knowledge and personal preferences.
Some changes are subtle - sometimes barely even noticeable. While some are more significant.
Note that the optional Unospears will keep their enchantment effects around the missing blade. I personally think it looks very cool. They are mystic weapons after all. (+ it's not something I can change in any case.)
These changes also affect the weapons of NPCs and bandits, but not Goblins or skeletons, who have models of their own.
To-do list: - Swords - Maces - Daggers - Greatswords - Hammers - Duospears - Shields - Overall revision/polish - Dead Ringer & Lindworm Fang texture fix - Modular version & options (like vanilla-size Hammers) - More polish & tweaks as they come to mind
This is my first time learning 3D editing - apologies if there are still some discernible issues.
● Installation ●
- Install Fluffy Mod Manager and configure it. Run it. - Drag and drop the downloaded archive(s) into the Mod Manager window, or put it into your Fluffy Mod Manager\Games\DragonsDogma2\Mods folder.
To uninstall, please make sure to uncheck every individual package within the Tasteful Weapon Redesigns bundle in your Fluffy mod list, and then manually delete the mod's archive in your Fluffy Mod\Manager\Games\DragonsDogma2\Mods folder. It is an unfortunate consequence of the bundle structure.
Thank you to the authors of RETool, the RE Mesh Editor and MDF Manager. Big thanks also to Airanieel, Yojenkz and Ridog of the Modding Haven Discord, as well as Mur4s4me/Cassardis for their love of detail.
