Since I can't comment on the patreon troubleshooting guide, I'll try my luck here. So in short, I just installed DDDA completely fresh and then
your mod manager and then some mods, just like in the video. None of
them seem to be active, I don't see any change in game. Can you please
help? Or someone else maybe if you know something?

If they don't work is not the fault of the mod manager, it's the fault of the people that upload mods without putting the proper folder order on their uploads.

As VorkM said, this is most likely due to mods that aren't structured in the same way as the game. If the mod manager installs a mod without mentioning creating a backup, then it most likely failed to install a mod. You'd need to manually fix the mod so it has the correct file structure, unfortunately.

Of course with DD2 coming out in a few days a lot of people are playing DD or DDDA .I am finding the mod organizer that fluffy made a hit or miss. Some work some don't.Not his fault. I don't blame him.It is an old game after all and doesn't seem  it was designed with modding in mind as opposed to say Skyrim was.
Plus some modders didn't update and /or don't monitor the mods they made any more so that's a problem. I am still enjoying it though

Yeah, a lot of people have posted mods that aren't directly compatible with the mod manager. The mod manager needs mods that are structured in a way that reflects the file structure of the game. I've seen people post mods that's just an ARC file stored in the root of a ZIP file. The mod manager can't magically guess where that ARC file is supposed to go.

The video guide I've got linked in the videos tab explains a little bit how to manually fix this.

So for example, If I have mutliple mods that alter some armors and am also using an hd retexture mod for all armors, I can't just load the hd retexture first and afterwards, the couple of mods that alter specific armor pieces and have both? Would the mods that alter these armors, completely shut down the hd retexture mod or only the armors they affect? What I'm trying to say is, would they work simultaniously or would the one that makes all armors hd, just do nothing at all, even tho the other mods only affect a bunch of specific armors? Thats exactly why I would need a load order for. I also have this mod that alters capes which also might be terminated then... I really need a mod manager that can handle a load order and merge different mods together so that they still do their thing even if somewhat restricted by other mods. Like the mod manager for Monster Hunter World or Mod Organizer 2. Is there even something like that out there for dragons dogma?

    very easy, thanks for that.
I created one folder for each mod inside Games\DD\Mods, and each of mod folder follows same original structure: nativePc\Rom\wp\w1\*.arc

I uploaded a new version of the mod manager. The biggest change is that this version supports mods in 7Zip and ZIP formats.

The mod manager doesn't do anything, I have my mods enabled and then launch the game and nothing actually happens in-game, it's all still just vanilla

That's most likely to the mods not being placed in the correct location in the mod manager.

If I recall, a part of this video guide talks about how to structure mods for MT Framework games: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dt_lSMPMQI4

I'm getting an error that states that XINPUT1_4.dll is missing from my computer, preventing me from running Modmanager.exe. How do I fix this?

That sounds like you're missing Xbox controller drivers. Those should always be pre-installed in Windows 10 and newer I believe. If you're using an older Windows, you can try googling "xbox 360 controller drivers"

Does any of this work with the GOG version?

Savegame management probably doesn't work. I think my mod manager checks Steam directories for that. Mod management still works, but you'll have to manually select install directory rather than the mod manager finding it automatically.

Hey Fluffy you should add the option as advanced option to set manually directories so we can avoid any future incompatibility from different game stores or just custom installations.

I saw this message late, but that's a good idea. I could add a setting for disabling automatic finding of directories, and the user can choose whatever install they want.
