  • 29 Oct 2022 -- Uploaded a FROSTY version of the "Black and Gold with tintable shoulders, gloves, pants" mod. Still only tintable for EM, DM, and DF, however using my mod Tintable Inquisition Battlemage Armor for All will allow HM, HF, and EF to use this version as well.
  • 28 Aug 2018-- By request, less saturated versions of the purple/gold/black and green/gold/black retextures have been added! These can be found in the Files tab. I've uploaded images for these versions as well.

Inquisition Battlemage Retextures

This mod adds several retextures for the Inquisition Light Armor (Battlemage Armor). Luna1124 has previously packaged a retexture of this armor in their mod Inquisition Armor Tintable medium and heavy plus retextured battlemage, but the color scheme isn't to my personal taste, so I decided to make my own. I set out to just make one or two, and ended up with... 7.

While I have not set out to do a retexture of either the medium or the heavy armors, all 3 of the Inquistion armors share some texture assets, so depending on the version you use, you will see some changes to the medium and heavy armors as well, mostly seen on the Inquisition scouts. I've uploaded screenshots of the scouts for each mod to show the effects.

Tirnoney's mod Upgraded Armour Schematics is required to craft the Inquisition Battlemage armor.

The tintable versions of this mod pair very nicely with Seasonal Palettes and Opulent Tints

Tintable Inquisition Battlemage Armor for All will allow HM, HF, and EF to use all tintable variants of this mod.

This mod does not alter any meshes, because as much as I'd love to get rid of the weird cloth rope things, I don't have 3Dmax. These are just retextures. They're also the first retextures I've ever done, so feedback is very much appreciated. I will absolutely consider adding more color variations-- I'm planning on a blue and black at the very least.

Important Note for the DAIMOD Versions: When merging this mod with the ModManager, you will receive the the following warning: *** Warning: da3/factions/inquisition/appearances/uni_hm_inquisitor/textures/uni_hm_inquisitor_wrk1base01a_0t not found. This is fine. Despite what the ModManager says, the texture file in question is used correctly, and without it the doublet doesn't tint correctly. I don't know why the ModManager gives this error, since it's still clearly able to replace the texture file; if anyone has any ideas, please let me know!

Only install ONE version at a time!

1. Black and Gold with tintable shoulders, gloves, pants

Tintable for EM and DF. Has the black doublet, black boots, and gold heraldry from numbers 4
and 5, but keeps the shoulder cloth, gloves, pants, and metal
tintable. The across-body leather straps have been darkened to a richer
brown, and the beige cloth twists have been tinted a dark grey.

2. Gold EyeSword - Tintable

Tintable for EM and DF, which are the only body models that get fully tintable versions of this armor by default. The doublet, shoulder wrap, gloves, pants, boots, and metal are all tintable. The across-body leather straps have been darkened to a richer brown, and the beige cloth twists have been tinted a dark grey. The patterning across the hip flap has been tinted a pale gold, and the Inquisition eyesword heraldry has been added in pale gold to the front left side of the doublet.

3. Gold EyeSword - Tintable v2

Tintable for EM and DF. The same as Gold Eyesword, except the gold heraldry has been darkened to a more distinctly yellow tone.

4. Plain EyeSword - Tintable

Tintable for EM and DF. The same as Gold Eyesword, except both the heraldry and hip flap patterning changes color along with the doublet. Whatever color the doublet is, the heraldry will be a few shades lighter of the same color. Doesn't work so well on very very dark or bright fabrics.

5. Black and Purple with Gold Heraldry

Non-tintable, works for everyone. Colors the patterning on the hip flap gold and adds the gold Inquisition eyesword to the left doublet breast. Colors the doublet and boots black, and the shoulder cloth, gloves, and pants dark purple. The across-body leather straps have been darkened to a richer brown, and the beige cloth twists have been tinted a dark grey.

5a. Black and Purple with Gold Heraldry - ALTERNATE (Less Saturated Version)

Non-tintable, works for everyone. Colors the patterning on the hip flap gold and adds the gold Inquisition eyesword to the left doublet breast. Colors the doublet and boots black, and the shoulder cloth, gloves, and pants purple. The across-body leather straps have been darkened to a richer brown, and the beige cloth twists have been tinted a dark grey.

6. Black and Green with Gold Heraldry

Non-tintable, works for everyone. Colors the patterning on the hip flap gold and adds the gold Inquisition eyesword to the left doublet breast. Colors the doublet and boots black, and the shoulder cloth and gloves dark green. The across-body leather straps have been darkened to a richer brown, and the beige cloth twists have been tinted a dark grey.

6a. Black and Green with Gold Heraldry - ALTERNATE (Less Saturated Version)

Non-tintable, works for everyone. Colors the patterning on the hip flap gold and adds the gold Inquisition eyesword to the left doublet breast. Colors the doublet and boots black, and the shoulder cloth, gloves, and pants green. The across-body leather straps have been darkened to a richer brown, and the beige cloth twists have been tinted a dark grey.

7. Just the Cloth Twists and Leather Straps

For those who don't want any extra retexturing, but hate the weird beige cloth rope twist things. All this does is change the color of the cloth ropes from beige to a dark grey and darkens the leather straps to a richer brown.
