Hi, weird question but how were you able to do this? Did you literally convert the textures from DAI to DA2 to fit the UVs, or did you open the DAI files in an editor program and use a brush tool or something to match up with the DA2 UVs? Asking because I'm trying to do something similar for a mod and I'd love to make it as easy as possible on myself! :)
BEAUTIFUL! reminds me I have to do Samson's hair - I'll pm you it when it's done so you can put it there, if you like. They look great, and ty for redo-ing Alistair with the deeper skin tone. He looks so good ???? good work!
Ooh these are wonderful! If I can make a little request: would you be willing to make an un-whitewashed Alistair version? There's no Alistair for DA2 that comes even close to looking as much like him as this one does so it would be lovely to have one that keeps his original, DAO skin color.
Since I'm still pretty new to modding, I have no idea how to do a direct comparison between Alistair in DAO and DA2. Skin tones in DA2 are also different to the ones in Origins (the toolset for Origins says Alistair is "t1_skn_004" while DA2 says "t1_skn_h06" ) but if you know which skin tone you want him to be, I can change it for you.
I think he should be around t1_skn_h07 for DA2? Everything looks so washed out that even that would probably seem too pale though so it might be safer to go all the way to 08... If it helps, this tumblr post compares his skin tones in all the games: http://dacharacterreferences.tumblr.com/post/150136937196/
Alright, what I ended up doing was porting the DAO skin tints into DA2. It was very washed out (like you said... DA2... wtf...) so I ended up using See Your True Colors (http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/4523/?) for comparison. That mod made the skin colors resemble their original tone as the vibrancy works under DA2's worse lighting. But since this is someone else's mod, I can't just take their tints and upload them as my own. So I'll need to ask them for permission. Hopefully you don't mind waiting otherwise I can give you instructions to do so yourself.
Ooh thank you so much! Seriously, this is the best Alistair for DA2 I've seen (and I think I've seen them all...) and this will just make it even better!
Nice! I've been wanting to do smth like this but your work turned out better than most of what mine did.
Also if you want - you're totally allowed to put Cassandra's hair in with your dl, I would be fine with it. DL'd (and endorsed, once the 15 min wait period is up)
Aw, thanks for compliment (though I'm sure yours would have turned excellent) and the endorsement! And oh that'd be great, thanks again! I'll add your mod in and credit you.
