If you are having trouble recruiting Ser Gilmore just have the mod for him and the core enabled to allow him to be recruited and playable and disable the one for him and your mabari dog to awakening which conflicts with the origins campaign. The only bad thing is that only once was I able to get all the backstory that Immortality did, like the fact that his father is from Nevarra and was a dragonslayer hunter, I don't remember how I did it but in later campaigns I haven't been able to get those conversations and I'm thinking of stopping using it because before I wanted more variety when making different groups in my campigs and I realized or at least for me the vanilla game already has enough characters, even for a while I played RtK to have 2 additional characters but with only one I could get all the dialogues from the archer and nothing from the other warrior. Also, before saying goodbye to your companions when you go to Fort Drakon, he speaks at the end when that epic soundtrack plays when you are going to defeat the darkspawn generals and it seems too anticlimactic to me XD that would be my definitive reason to remove it and leave it in oblivion just like Immortality did with this mod that was promising but only remained a promise in my opinion.
Hi, just install this mod and it not working. What is happen is, I recruited him and doesn't join my group, also he not in party picker menu. Just wondering do I have to start a new game or load before I go Lothering town. Does this mod affect the Cousland Castle mod? Please let me know and thank you
I installed the mod, recruited Ser Gilmore very easily, used him in several battles, and everything was going perfectly—simply flawless! Today, I went to play, and suddenly, he disappeared from the party selection screen.
Why did this happen? I have no idea.
Is he still at the camp? Yes, I can still talk to him, change his equipment, and view everything as if he were a playable character.
Does he still have relevant interactions? Yes, I’ve even had some great and pleasant conversations about the past (my Warden is a human noble).
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling? Yes, both through EA's original method and using DAModder!
Why did he disappear from the selection screen? He’s simply not there, and it’s impossible to choose him!
I found him in Lothering and talked with him but I tried adding him to my party twice now and he's not with me. Is he glitched for me, or do I have to leave Lothering for him to actually become available?
Phenomenal mod on its own, however a little misleading as you're not getting Ser Gilmore as a companion you're getting a dude named Roland who looks like Ser Gilmore. I would've preferred his name remained Ser Gilmore or that you used the canon first name Roderick. I guess I'm nitpicking but still it irks me just the slightest amount.
I had this mod years ago but got a new computer. So I figured I would play it again with my game. I went and downloaded it and extracted it. However, the dazip files aren't there. I checked all the folders and neither are there. Am I missing something? Please help
This happened to me and I worked around it with 7zip. Open the files without extracting them and click on the Dazip files. COPY them to the location you would have extracted them to. You should see them now.
...a file named Ser_Gilmore_NPC_v3.1.1.dazip, 428 Mb, and also a cc_core_200.dazip (Companion compatibility core v2.0) 564Kb. IMPORTANT! cc_core_200.dazip is OPTIONAL! Do NOT install it unless you really need it. Normally you will be able to play without it.
Update - removing that didn't solve the issue - Gilmore won't join party even after he agrees to do so.
I found no way to resolve the issue - it's complicated further by other Ultimate Game Version issues (according to player posts) even if I could get him to join the party.
+1. I tried everything and still could not add him to the party, despite choosing all relevant options in dialogue. But what is interesting is that if you go to the party selection menu, there will be an empty space between Morigan and your PC. I tried uninstalling the mod (and removed the Awakening one) and it does not work.
And going over other comments, it seems that it is a very sensitive mod that could break the game or other options in dialogue or choices if you install it.
I would have loved to have Roland, but this does not seem worth spending hours to make it work and then some down the line to troubleshoot it for compatibility with other mods.

Edit: This turned out to be a problem with the Windows unzip tool. I tried using 7zip instead and it gave me the correct files.

I´m using DAO Modmanager and never had an issue with this mod...
