tnx for the mod, i got an issue tho, when i install UTC starter replacer, human-male and elf-male also get affected which results in invisible cloth and floating head :) any fix?
May I request a UTC version with the same stats as mage's starting robe? Ideally some toggle to change appearance of all equipped armors on the PC to this model. This dressing, IMO, is too powerful in eafly game...
For sure a must have mod. Fantastic job here! I consider it the canon robe for Wynne in my playthrough.
I wonder if anyone has an idea on how to add the matching head circlet with the sapphire/diadema as in the artwork, to complete this beautiful robe. It would be nice to have it wearable as a hood or helmet. Any idea?
Probably the least painful way to do it would be to attach it to a hairstyle, or create it as an accessory that went in the beard slot. The helmets in the game are hardcoded to delete a character's hair and scalp so adding it as a helmet wouldn't work.
I did try making one, but I wasn't happy with it, so I never finished it.
Thanks. but can you trick DAO to make it think that a hair + attached circlet/accessory is a hood (mage_helmet) so that it can be wearable and having properties and bonuses? Did you try it? And then making it restricted (e.g., for Wynne) I would just need the model for human female. Have you got your past files? I would like to work on them and see if I can get something. What do you think?
Making a hair into an equippable hood is probably possible if you gave it a GDA and .uti so it registers with the game as a hat. I don't know if it would take tint colours correctly but you could certainly try it. I don't have any interest in doing that myself, but the toolset wiki has some tutorials for things if you want to learn more. And I'm afraid not, my past files would be useless to anyone but me.
Hi. I modded a lot of games before, but I'm new to DAO modding. When I place the starter robe in override and I start a new game my HFM wears only lingerie in CC. If I start the game through mod manager - which I also yet to figure it out - she wears the default robe. Can someone explain to me what did I miss? Thanks in advance.
I assume by mod manager you mean, dragon age mod manager? It shouldn't matter how you launch the game for your mods to work, some modded games need to be launched by manager but Origins or DA2 don't have a system like that.
If you have both the main file and the mage circle UTC file unzipped into your My Documents\Bioware\Dragon Age\packages\core\override folder, I'm not really sure what the issue could be I'm afraid.
Thank you for your answer. Yes, I meant that mod manager. I "got" the UTC file, but what do you mean by "main file"? The whole Surana Mage Robe 1.2 folder as it is or do I need just one file from it as well? This is really my very first try to mod this game, I play with ever since it came out.
I see. Yes, you need the main file, as that has the outfit data in it. For future reference if it helps, .UTC are small files which tell a character what outfit to wear.
Astounding work on the robe commanderstrawberry, another must have mod from you. Thank you.
For those who like maaaaaaaaap's idea to make the Suruna mage robe unique to elves, I've created a human female replacer; you can find the link under requirements.
So, because of you I had to scrap the idea of having 1 common background item for all mages in my mod, and instead split them up according to race. The elves deserve this, you know. :-) That trick of yours to combine the aequitarian robes and the concept robe for females was simply genius, and solved a lot of problems for me. THANKS! :-)
That is unfortunate. Since the Aequitarian robe has no female meshes, I've experimented with pointing a mmh to the Loincloth files as a patch. But if that doesn't work for people, I can try to find a rarer GDA number. (Unused is impossible sadly)

Thank you so much for sharing and helping my Surana concept art dreams come true.
As for your toggle idea, this is just not possible with Origin's engine and the tools we have presently, sorry.

Just FYI, this conflicts with Loincloth Fashion (Aequitarian Robes) model number.
I also use the texture replacement from Hoarous and your LOD2 texture files, works nicely :-).
