This mod has been very helpful with my modding. I am currently scripting objects and creatures in my game and I have to manually adjust rotation, location and sometimes even height. With Flycam I can really get into hard to reach places and angles to make sure an item isn't floating above ground, I can close gaps and micro manage positions of items and creatures. I probably could never do this without Flycam!
I would like to ask if flycam can be activated MID-Cutscene, letting the user fly around the map while the cutscene is playing? For personal reasons it's extremely important that the mod is able to do that. πππ
Sorry to say, but, I have to date not found a method to get a script to trigger in the midst of a cutscene or dialogue; it's an engine limitation; almost any script command will start processing only once the "GAMEMODE_CUTSCENE" or "GAMEMODE_DIALOG" has ended. (one exception I've noticed so far is the destruction of a script-targetable object, even if that object currently actively participates in a dialogue).
Hey Hermaen, thanks for the super speedy, fast reply βΊοΈ
That makes me so very, very, very sad. π£π£πππ’
For context, I'm huge on Yuri stuff so I so desperately want to be able to fly around during the Leliana's Song's cutscenes and see exactly how Marjolaine tackles leliana, as well as M stabbing L because the default cameras are so zoomed in. π Would love to see the animations from a dist, and see how close Marj and Lel are to each other
Is there even the tiniest possibility that you know how one can view the cutscenes from another angle?
Premium dlc isnt in the toolset, if not I'd have used it long ago. Sighhhh!!! First the dlc resources not being in the toolset, and now of course the engine has script limitations. UGH!!!
That's really such a shame. π’π I'm legitmately very sad about this. Lol, like not joking...
Nevertheless, I'm really super grateful that you made this mod man. It's a must-have for me. Thank u!!~
However I found the default camera movement to be way too fast. Holding right click to pan the camera around is also extremely sensitive and way too fast... is there a way to adjust both of these sensitivities down and make them slower?
Holding shift is way too slow for me, and the light speed of holding 'alt' is definitely too fastπ If possible I want to make them faster and slower respectively too
If adjusting these values is complicated/time-consuming to explain, I'd be more than happy to buy you a cup of coffee for your efforts or something π
It's not a matter of adjustment, these are values not controlled by scripts but by engine-level variables, likely in one of the DLLs or EXE files. Scripts can do a lot but they cannot reverse-affect the engine on such a level. We as a community are simply not provided the means to adjust any of this; there's not even a 2DA that, on any level, even remotely appears to interact with the flycam behavior. Perhaps a DPI sensitivity control for your mouse MIGHT help to an extend, dunno. I appreciate the praise but at the end of the day I am just a disphit from Germany who bumbled his way to the light switch in the basement, lol.
Given the simplicity of the script and that my own scripting experience has only expanded since making this, it IS surprising actually. The information was on the DA Toolset Wiki all along, I just had to practically connect the dots.
Great mod, but can you please add arrow key support? Not everyone is right handed. It's a huge pain to move my hand all the way across the keyboard to unfamiliar keys to use this.
I cannot alter the controls, which, as far as I can tell, are hardcoded. As stated in the description, though, you can wholly navigate using the mouse, and just use the shift-key to slow the camera down for fine-tuning.
I'm preparing for my first modded playthrough of Origins and suddenly such a great mod shows up. Thank you so much Hermaen2000! But... I don't want to be a choosy one, but would it be possible to bind the flycam script to a key shortcut?
You're welocme. I don't know the first thing about how keybinds work in the game. I don't know if a keybind can be bound to script execution whatsoever.
Thanks for a reply! And for a mod once more - it will sure come in handy. :) You and me both then, when it comes to keybinds and knowledge about how they work. :D

Thank you for making my modding so much easier :D
