Used the Florianne Dress version. Just saw her in-game today. She looks fantastic, just what I'd expect from an Orlesian baroness. For continuity, I really like this mod!!
So... I'm struggling, and I seem to be having the opposite problem to everyone else who encountered a problem. The Baroness is wearing her lovely orlesian dress and has her unique makeup and eyes, but she doesn't have a mask or any hair. I thought I'd gotten all the required mods together, but apparently I'm missing something. Which mods do the hair and mask come from, specifically? Should I have put the chargenmorph file that came with the mods in, or what? (Thanks in advance to anyone who can help. Gorgeous mod OP, I'm really hoping I can make it work!!!)
Hallo again! I figured out what I'd done wrong. I hadn't downloaded the right mesh from 'Witcher Inspired Morps', as I'd expected the hair and mask to be in the main file; it was not. It's all working now. Thanks so much for this great mod!!!
I'm really glad to hear (or read ) that you enjoy my little mod and could solve problem with hair. I'm not so active in DA community recently, so I didn't see your post until today, sorry. 🙈
I'm curious how you got this to work...I extracted her UTC from the DAA ERF in the Toolset and when I edit it and try to save it, it completely crashes the Toolset and doesn't save properly (has a "$$$" extension). I even downloaded your UTC file and attempted to edit it and once I save it, it crashes...all I'm trying to do is change the dress so I'm very confused as to why it CTD. Help or thoughts from anyone would be appreciated. Great mod idea though!
UPDATES: Gave me this error message when trying to open the failed "$$$" file - "editing of the game resource failed, Reason: unable to locate editor for object". Never seen this before...this is the only UTC that's given me issues, I downloaded a different GFF Editor to edit the UTC since the Toolset and the included GFFeditor from Bioware BOTH crash trying to save it after editing.
TLDR: I fixed it with help from this post - https://www.reddit.com/r/dragonage/comments/5gjh0k/no_spoilers_editing_utc_files/ - all is well with the World again.
This mod looks beautiful and I managed to get the hair/mask portion of it to work perfectly. Unfortunately, when trying to use the Tabris dress, the Baroness shows up wearing Morrigan's outfit but I can't find any conflicting files that would cause this.
I found the conflict. It was between the Tabris dress and the Ferelden Pack's Bann Robe. I got it to work by changing the variation number on the Bann Robe uti and gda files.
This is beautiful and really adds a lot to the immersion; she was really so little like a noble before, let alone an Orlesian one! Now she's perfect!
The only thing I notice is that her cheeks tend to clip through her mask a bit as she talks. Would this be fixed by making her cheekbones less pronounced?
So... I installed all the required files, and... it only works halfway. The head morph has changed to the proper orlesian mask morph, but she is still wearing the default version of her dress. I've checked for possible conflicts with other mods, and the only thing I can think of is that this mod may conflict with Dragon Age redesigned for awakening. Although I can't seem to find a conflicting file.
It could also be that I need to load an earlier save for this to work , though if this is the case, why is the mask properly showing?
EDIT Ok, so, there's a conflict between the Witcher's pack and Improved atmosfere. Apparently some of the armors use the same code (for example, the noble Cousland's starting attire). This could be the reason for why I'm not seeing her dressed with the proper dress.
Don't know about DA Redesigned, I'm not use it. Mask showing, because it part of hairstyle and part of the morph file. And yes, install UTC file before your Warden goes in Blackmarsh.
I'll have to further test this to see whether DA redesigned or IA are a problem or not, once I have the time. But even if they were to conflict, and the dress were to be "unavailable", the mask already does its job of giving her an orlesian feel. So thanks for this mod. Wonderful job.
For the IA conflict, stick the files provided with this mod into the 8.Custom folder that is in the IA folder in your override. 8.Custom is where you should place any mods/files that conflict with IA.
It looks like a good mod, but could you please also list the mods needed for this mod to work and link them in the description on the front page for this mod? I only notice that additional mods were needed after installing your mod and seeing that it didn't work and looked through the readme file.
Sorry, my misstake, It's been a long time since I used this site. Anyway, the mod looks great, though the Witcher dress didn't show up when I loaded a saved game, do I need to replay the Awakening campaign in order to see it?
Are you sure that you have installed "Witcher pack" ? If you installed that and have this problem, when you probably have Armor GDA conflict: two armors use the same ID. In that case I can't fix it.
I put the just the sub-folder for the Tabris dress in the override folder before, but I noticed that I needed the entire Witcher pack in order for the dress to show up. However, she only wore it when I saw her in the veil and once I went back to the blackmarsh she was wearing her default robes again. Anyway it looked great and I've endorsed the mod. My only complaint is that her cheekbones often showed through the mask when she talked in closeups.
I whipped up something similar for myself a few months ago and this happened to me as well. I eventually figured out why: for the dress to show up once you’re back from the Fade, the mod needs to be installed before entering the Blackmarsh area, not just the Fade version of it (if that makes any sense). Hope this helps!
