If you are installing this mid-game, please be aware: This mod must be installed before you return to camp and experience this part of the main storyline. Once a map is loaded, it is baked into your save file - the same rule applies to armor/clothing mods that edit companions/NPC. DAO won't properly load a new mod into a previously visited map that wasn't installed the first time you traveled to it. (that was a long explanation lol) So, with this mod added, any existing save file must be from before you fast-travel back to camp and encounter Tamlen, or else it won't play out as intended.
Playing as a male elf? There are no mods needed to use my romance mods for Tamlen. However, if you want to unlock the original, vanilla romance and dialogue flag for Tamlen, you will need a mod for that. My mod Be More Elfy-Dalish Dialogue Overhaul unlocks the romance dialogue for male elves at the beginning of the origin.
Using the Ser Gilmore companion mod? I often use this mod so I decided to add him to the scene. If you use it, Ser Gilmore will be present in the scenes with the other companions. If you don't use it, he won't be there.
In regards to the rings and DLC: If the rings from this mod and "Kissing Tamlen" do not carry over into Awakening or other DLC, please download the optional files from each mod page to allow you to add them via console command. In my testing, they carried over with my character with no issues, but I added that file just in case anyone has a problem.
Prefer romancing Zevran over Alistair? (or just prefer his companionship over our Warden friend) There is an alternate version where Zevran, instead of Alistair, comforts your Warden in the second scene. Install ONLY ONE version. You cannot have both the original and Zevran versions installed at once.
If you have any problems where the mod doesn't trigger or play properly, first check the description page for the known issues that could cause this. If none of the listed mod conflicts apply to you, send me a PM with your specific problem.

Origin Mementos - Dalish Elf by Gewitterwolke If you have this mod installed, you will have to download my optional file "Dialogue Override Files" Unzip it, and put the folder into: \Documents\Bioware\Dragon Age\packages\core\override
Doing that should allow you to have both mods installed simultaneously. If this does not work for you, please let me know. However, you will not receive the amulet you normally receive with Gewitterwolke's mod because it too is triggered by the dialogue you have with Alistair and my files will have to override theirs. Unfortunately, I can't make a patch to add both without help and permission from that mod's author, which I do not have. (when I created this mod I asked but never got a clear yes or no)
Improved Atmosphere by SpaceAlex You can have both mods installed, however- You must delete any copies of these files from the IA area folders in your ...\Documents\Bioware\Dragon Age\packages\core\override: camp110ar_camp_arch3.are camp110ar_camp_arch3.lst

Tamlen will not show up properly as a spirit in the designated scenes where he's supposed to be one.
My mod will still work but it'll look odd and not as intended.
NOTE: This does not affect the edited party camp map that comes with the Improved Atmosphere mod. There is an entirely different camp map used for this event. If you like using the IA camp map, deleting the above files to use this mod will not affect your normal IA camp map.

I find it particularly a bit sad, that we can’t have a Dalish get married to Zevran. Still his mother is also Dalish, so i would not find it entirely impossible if he’d fall in love with one of them and even marry them .
I have thought about creating my own version of a Dalish wedding for Zevran before. He's become my favorite love interest for my elven Wardens. It's possible, yes.
Please do. I almost finished my first play through and romance Alistair this time. I like Alistiar, he's very entertaining. But his ending options seem all kinda tainted, if you know what i mean.
But while talking to all companions to get all of their quests, i also came to like Zevran. My City elf is best friends with him. I like his devil-may-care attitude, so wonderfully undramatic and also funny at times. So i decided to play an elven tower mage next time and romance him. See what he's like as a love interest. :D
Fot the Dalish i will wait and see if you have your new Zevran mods done until then. I would love a Wedding mod that lets Dalish elves marry him, too. :)
I had to leave a comment for that one. This mod is way too sweet and well done. I didn't except something like this, it felt like it was part of the game, I mean, now I wonder why they didn't do something like that, it feels so right. Thank you so much for it.

I don't even know where to start -- I absolutely LOVE your Tamlen mods (and to be honest, all of your mods ) They are amazingly done, intense and beautiful -- I feel everytime like I'm dragged there in. Your work is on the Dragon Age level if that makes sense.

This mod is one of the reasons why I keep returning to DA:O. These cutscenes feel so natural and emotionaly heavy, that I don't accept they are not part of the vanilla game. Great work, you really captured bittersweet aura of Origins. Must have mod for Dalish playthroughs.

I don't usually comment on here, this is actually my first comment ever .. I'm playing a Dalish Elf Warden for my playthrough on Twitch and I finally got to see this cutscene. I legitimately cried. Nothing in this game makes me cry, but this did it for me. A couple hours later and I'm still on and off crying. I needed to say bravo for this, it was gorgeous. I had planned for my Dalish Warden to do the sacrifice ending where she sacrifices herself since it was an ending I had never done, and so I hadn't been actively trying to romance anyone. This mod gave me in-character reasons for the lack of romance (Kalora's not over Tamlen) and reasons for her to want to be the one to sacrifice herself to slay the Archdemon at the end. Honestly, this is amazing. Thank you, again.

I know this is quite a few months late (I had so much going on in May/June) but thank you for this lovely comment. It's really nice to know that even years later my work on this is still appreciated and enjoyed. I created this for not only myself but other players (like you) who truly care for Tamlen and the emotional impact he has on the story of their Warden and whether or not they choose to make the ultimate sacrifice. Each of our characters has their own journey in Thedas and I wanted to add to it. So thank you!

But seriously; this is stunning work! You don't know how much I love "The Lost Elf" and hearing it in this scene... :'( I mean it is called THE LOST ELF! I've been playing and replaying DA:O for years and the dalish origin was always kind of my least favorite, but with some great mods - and especially YOUR mods - I think it became on of my favorite playthroughs.
Ohhh! I love the "Lost Elf" song too! (well kinda obviously I guess hehe) So much raw emotion in that piece.

Aww, thank you so much! This made my day! I cried multiple times while designing and editing it. The lost love between Tamlen and Mahariel is one of those beautifully tragic, classic Bioware romances that I love to feel sad about.
