Update Sept 21, 2020 Thanks to strawbranch, Sleep Until Dawn includes an Italian version :) See file tab for details.
Thanks for using Sleep Until Dawn! I hope you enjoy the mod :) If you enjoy this as well as my other works, please feel free to click "like" at my Facebook page. Thank you!
To utilize all of the options in Sleep Until Dawn, please make sure you have the latest version installed.
Thanks to Sunjammer, this mod was designed to be compatible with most other mods as it doesn't touch vanilla resources. It also accommodates same sex relationships, however I haven't tested it with mods that have been created after its final release. If you are willing to try it and post your findings here, I would appreciate it.
Does anyone know how to reposition Oghren so he doesn't stand right outside the Warden's tent? https://i.imgur.com/4trNP35.jpg
Edit: Figured it out, have to edit oghren's waypoint in the cam100ar_camp_plains.are file with toolset and enter camp before leaving Flemeth's hut after the Ostagar battle. For some reason the game seems to save the existing cam100ar_camp_plains.are waypoints after that point so any changes after does not take effect.
I have used this mod before with no problem. Now I can't get it to show up in game. It is installed with my updater as you said to do, but it just isn't showing up in my game. Any ideas on why that might be? I LOVE this mod, have used extensively "back in the day" before I updated my PC and could no longer play DA:O very well. Now it's been updated, apparently and many of my oldie but goody mods work again. PLs help? TY so much.
When you say it doesn't show up in your game, do you mean that it doesn't show up as one of your installed and activated mods in the main downloads menu?
Are you attempting to use the tent when you first enter the camp during your playthrough? Keep in mind that it is only active the second time you go to camp. Edit: I just noticed you said "yes" when I asked if it doesn't even show up in the downloads section in the games main interface....if that is correct then it is not even installed. Is this correct?
I love this mod, but is there any chance you can add a "wait for nightfall" option so we can switch back to the night camp without totally leaving and returning? I have used this mod for a while but kind of don't use it as much as I would if that was in the mod.
So if I understand correctly, you go to camp, use the mod for morning, and then would like the option to switch it back to night? (I.e. click on an option to fade to black and return to the night camp?)
I think it should go without saying what a lovely mod this is, and I don't normally leave requests, but Retexturing DAO has a wonderful way of making the camp a lot greener without detracting from the tone of the game. It's a real treat for the eyes.
I don't suppose you'd consider making a small consistency patch?
I appreciate that may not be as simple as I make it sound.
Hi, It's been many years since I've modded DA, so my memory is fuzzy when it comes to visual detail adjustments. Does your patch work with my mod? If so I would be happy to link it in my description, or upload it as an optional file. Or of course you can upload it as a mod yourself.
Sorry I did not mean to imply I had made a patch, I was asking you if you could make one (your camp reverts to the normal camp texturing scheme, which makes sense, I was just showing what it looked like at night, before it loads your version of the camp). Personally while I have it installed I've barely begun to learn the toolset yet, but this is good to know regardless.
I may have to request permission from the Retexturing DAO author but if I ever learn my way around the toolset I'll do it.
Anyway I understand. I knew it would be a long shot so many years later.
I noticed this too! If only there was a way for the camp at dawn to point to texture replacers. Are there copies of the vanilla textures with different names which the mod uses for the day camp? I'm not sure why it would revert if we've replaced vanilla textures with retexturing DAO, surely the mod would just point to the vanilla textures. I hope someone can work out a patch or workaround!
If memory serves, I believe I had to duplicate the night the camp level asset and make manual adjustments to the level itself ("black triangle" artifacts had to be fixed after baking the new lighting) in order to work well in daylight. I can't say for sure whether the asset is referenced anywhere by the vanilla game, or it uses custom textures that were duplicated and used for this specific level only.
Given that in 10 years, any installation errors posted here were due to user error and not the DAZIP itself, from my experience I can only think of the following: 1. Using a Steam installed game requires a slightly different mod installation process 2. Using a Mac OS -also requires a different process 3. The archive file hasn't been completely downloaded, or, incomplete extraction. 4. DAUpdater, even though showing errors, successfully installed the mod anyway. 5. When installing make sure you are selecting the correct file (view file extensions should be enabled in your OS) 6. Try using a version of DAUpdater that came out in 2012. Can't think of much else.
Hello. When i install the italian version with DAUpdater/DAMM/DAM it gives me an error. DAUpdater: "Invalid zip archive detected." DAMM : "DAzip is already installed. Instead the normal version doesn't give me any type of problems.
Never installed previous version of the mod before the italian one. Btw the mod didn't appear installed neither in the game nor in the DAMM. I'm actually playing with the english one , and i'm having problem with the language , many dialogues are in english instead of italian and i suppose it may be caused by this mod, but not sure.
Does your English dialogue appear only in the morning camp? The only things this mod actually affects (in terms of language) are the text options on the screen in camp. Also, if I recall, DAupdater sometimes shows an error after installing, even though installation is successful (which is why I asked if you checked whether or not the IT version was installed in-game). You can always contact strawbranch -the person responsible for the Italian conversion.
