Works like a charm. Great mod. I like to scatter abilities around and organize them by type but the default super-elongated bar just looks atrocious. This is a fantastic alternative.

Works perfectly on GOG V1.05 as of Feb 2023, Download Both Main and the Optional Config then just follow instruction and set the config as the picture (I use centered with full effect bar. Set BEFORE opening game or else you have to re-enter game.)

Is it possible to bind keys to the extra bars?

It is unfortunately not possible, to my understanding, to add more hotkeys.

Unlikely to get a reply but I'm getting a bug where having the mod installed makes my game crash inconsistently following a save. The save is successful but it crashes once it's written and I can continue from that save after opening the game again.
Mods: Ftg UI, Quickbar, DA Rules Fix pack (all fixes but very few tweaks), Gift Guides, DA Redesigned, custom Improved Atmosphere, More Detailed Tooltips, Steal Cooldown Reduced, ThetaHD.
I've tried uninstalling everything except the FTG UI (bc I figured they were made to work together) to no avail.
    Help... D:

This really looked good to me but I got a really strange bug after installing it which may be due to running DAO V1.05. After installation, this Mod worked perfectly as advertised for a DER-warden game played up to entry into Lothering. However, in a Mage-warden game, the "party follower'" function stopped working for all party members in the tower ('Mouse' followed correctly in the Fade, but neither Duncan, Jowan, or Lily would follow the warden when they were supposed to [note that there was an intervening save-game]). I suspect that this problem may have something to do with the V1.05 save-game format and the variations between mage and rogue for that format. Simple removal of this Mod followed by a force-load of the save-game did not fix the problem. However, removal of only this Mod and the starting of a new scratch mage-warden game made this bug disappear. One hopes the Mod Author will find this information useful in looking into this bug as this Mod makes things so very much nicer for the player.

Several, several years too late but since this is still a great game with active players, for those considering trying this mod out I just want to say I get worried about such issues so I ran a test character in the mage circle very quickly and could not recreate this bug and I have quite a significant number of mods. I played up until the meeting with first enchanter and Duncan still followed me.

If I had to guess this was probably some very strange conflict rather than an issue with the latest version of the game which I'm running as well.

I very much appreciate people like you Veinmire for thinking of other players going forward. But since you did not find a way to recreate this bug, does that mean this mod works completely fine? I am considering getting this mod, but I have a lot of mods. If it isn't too much trouble, would you be able to show a list of what mods you're using? Just in like text, no need for them to link to the mods or anything fancy.

      Hi.
      You're welcome.

It would be a little confusing if I posted my mods as my override and toolsetexport folders are messy and cluttered. That is to say, some of the folders have names that are difficult to interpret either from bad naming on account of the mod author or being shortened, it would take me too long to write up a list that makes sense. I also have a lot of custom file modifications so I can't list items like in a TES game where I'd be relying much more on a mod manager and plugins.

THAT BEING SAID, when I wrote this original post, I hadn't fully made my mind up about this mod yet, I was only testing it. But I can honestly give my personal stamp of assurance that this mod is VERY WELL designed, I have more confidence in it that I would have for many mods, conflict-wise. It's so good it's almost like it's part of vanilla. The only thing is sometimes it will freeze the quickbar icons while moving, but that is very rare; all you need to do is reload.

I really can't imagine what caused the bug for the original person who complained to be honest, and I can say it's one of the mods you can use with a very high amount of confidence (but I get it, their post freaked me out at first too).

I have mods affecting most aspects of this game by this point and haven't had a single problem that can't be solved with a reload (only quickbar glitches, nothing like what the other person described). This and FTG's UI rescaler mod are high quality, and solid. Hope this helps.

GOG version of the game, mod runs great at 1366x768.
Like someone mentioned before, no need to use Configuration Utility (unless you want to customize new quick bar).
Just install mod's .dazip with DAO Modmanager and you are set.
BTW, installed this mod during Awakening, so technically I've not tested it from the very start, but it works perfectly.
So, thank you very much FollowTheGourd!

    Nice mod, a must have.

    If you're having trouble :

    - Install FtG_Quickbar_v1-0.dazip
    - Download FtG_Quickbar_Config? windows or Macos
    - Put everything into Bioware/Dragon Age/packages/core/override/FTG_QUICKBAR
    - Make sure you're quickbar is unlock in the game
    - Save and exit Dragon Age
    -Open FtG_Quickbar_Config.exe (Bioware/Dragon Age/packages/core/override/FTG_QUICKBAR)
    - Set whatever you want to and click "Save All"
    - Launch Dragon age Origins and drag the right tab on your quickbar to expend it
    -Working

I installed this as described, but I have no config option for this. Did it get removed?

Same here. I thought I was the problem. There's no "FTG_QUICKBAR" folder in the "override" folder.

Try using DA Modder to install it. I think that's what I did when I had the problem and that made it work.
