This is the most awesome mod I downloaded for Dragon Age Origins. Thanks for that. I have a question. It seems that when I port my character to Awakening, his buffs won't work. Every offensive ability works as intended but not the buffs. Hurricane for example, it does nothing. Am I doing something wrong?
Not sure what you mean by "modded fist weapons". The monk is plenty powerful enough as-is (even though sometimes the "flaming fist" - Unquenchable Flame - stops working and needs to be toggled off/on to work again). My PC used The Great Silence followed by an Omnistrike and it was game over for Loghain.
I was in early game when I wrote this. Definitely don't need anything by the time you're at the Landsmeet or higher, but early game having a modded fist weapon or bo staff would be nice.
1) The first time with a female PC monk - for about the first 70% of the game my PC was fighting in what seemed like slow motion (despite having Hurricane active all the time), in comparison Leliana (whom I respecced into a dual wielding Rogue/Assassin) was slicing and dicing and running circles around my PC. Then suddenly my PC started fighting a lot faster, at first it was the odd battle here and there, but towards the end of the game it was fast most of the time.
2) Second time was a male PC monk. For some reason this one was fighting fast from the start, and remained so for the rest of the game (although it would sometimes slow down). When I got Wynne I respecced her to be a monk as well, and when fighting beside my PC you can see that she moves noticeably slower.
Anyone else notice a difference in fighting speed between male and female monks?

works for me. You would also need ADD ANY ITEM VISUAL DELUXE to add the Hidden Fist item.
