This is really cool but why did you name it beefier? These are quite literally the opposite. The end result I like because I always thought the gun sounds in eternal were kinda goofy as they just turned the bass up to 200 to the point where they barely even sound like guns. But still, you toned down the beef, not upped it.
I actually did increase the bass and the loudness on every weapon substantially. You can tell especially with the combat shotgun. I also mixed in stuff like barrel explosions, sounds from other weapons, and distant thunder to simulate reports since it wasn't very noticeable on any weapon.
It may just be the way the engine handles audio that makes it sometimes sound slightly quieter, but I noticed that even with my old soundpack and with the vanilla sounds.
The combat shotgun isn't in the demonstration vid so I can't speak on that but if we use the SSG as an example, it went from sounding like I'm blasting the hottest new UK drill music down the barrel, to something actually resembling a shotgun. Perhaps we just have different definitions of what "beefy" is but these are just straight up are less bassy sounding.
the equipment launcher one doesn't work it says it is missing something or can't find the resources I redownloaded it many times and reseted my mod loader still have the problem
That's odd. The equipment launcher's sound files are working just fine with the all-in-one versions for me. Are you using the standalone version by any chance?
yes i am using the standard editon of doom eternal on steam
(update: I actually fixed it, myself by moving the sfx folder to Beefier Equipment Launcher SFX-713-1-0-1660184509.zip, and deleting the "Beefier Equipment Launcher SFX" folder).
Definitely. I decided against it however since I personally like to have multiple different options available individually, for the sake of modularity.
Totally understand. BUt the only reason I haven't gotten this new one is because I don't want to download all the files an do them individually. If you also had a version with all, I'd be all over it. (Im lazy) Love your work
