In your screenshots, the aspect ration is 16:9, but the hud is not stretched. How can i change the aspect ratio of the hud in my game, so that it looks like yours? The stretched hud is the one thing holding the game back for me, its so annoying. How did you fix yours?
This causes a problem with the immersive armaments mod where the shotgun with that mod is supposed to aim when zooming in and lower the spread but something from your mod is overriding that. Otherwise this is the best graphics mod I've seen so far. The guns in D3HDP are so crisp and sharp
i didn't know there was two versions. i'm using the latest version from the latest version of dhewm3 from github. i don't see anything about a stable and test build.
just tried the mod for myself. this is also happening with me, so it's not unique to this person. my drivers are up to date and I'm on ultra, so not sure what the problem is. game works just fine without the mod. sad since I wanted to replay the game after a long time having not touched it... guess i have to stick to vanilla..

Everything is look like they are varnished and polished, covered with oil or something. Everything is so unrealistically shiny.
I looked through your Youtube channel, and there is this video called 'D3HDP BFG Lite - A taste of Resurrection of Evil'. I know that this mod is only Doom 3, not for BFG. But that is the best example, why I find this unrealistically overused shininess to be incredibly annoying. That place is an underground ruin, and because of that everything must be covered with dust. So I expecting that nothing should have shiny surfaces there.
The game took place on Mars, on a dusty planet. Also in beginning of the game characters constantly complaining about how much they are overburdened. This prove my point; definitely the last thing people would do is go around cleaning up and polishing every single inch of every surface, even varnishing surfaces that never supposed to shine at all.
Is it possible to install this mod without this unbearable shininess? Or change something in the config files to remove the shininess?
As you can read on Readme file, zzz_pak007.pk4 is responsible of the new lighting, based on the shader of Sikkmod 1.2 and it's optional, so you can skip it when you extract the files to play with default lighting.
With this mod, the game did not want to start at all. So I had to use a 4 GB patch! It's a shame that this amazing mod working only lasted me 4 hours. Then, when I move to another location, I constantly get "malloc failure"

P.S. Apparently, some of the graphical effects added by the mod are not optimized, which is why the crash occurs. The image that the mod gives is very good. In sum mod worked smoothness , with only almost always stuttering when the door was opened.
Hi. Actually this depends by your hardware and settings. Are you using included autoexec.cfg? Are you using external filters like Reshade? Please check Readme file to solve your crashes.
I don't have ReShade or any other mods installed. I use only your mod. How can this be, when a game with your mod shows amazing graphics and a good 60+ FPS for almost 4 hours, and then when you move to another location, it just "malloc failure". You are right, I only have 2 GB of video memory. I noticed that if i use the Low End Spec configuration, then "malloc failure" does not occur in that location. But detailing of graphics given by Low End Spec.cfg is the same as in vanilla game. Therefore, there is no point in using D3HDP - Doom3 Essential HD Pack mod with Low End Spec configuration.
Actually, this is not true. the limitation is 1024x, 4 times bigger of vanilla game, halved res of the ultra quality of D3HDP v2.0. Default game has very low textures res on HD screens nowdays. Comparison
After playing Doom 3 for 4 hours with your D3HDP mod and then switching to the Low End Spec configuration, the difference in graphics detail is very noticeable!
I explained very well what to do in this case in Readme file. 4 Gb patch is not the universal solution for every problem, especially if you have a very week gpu and few ram.
I tried to find and delete the invisible monsters add on, but i couldn't find it, it wasn't in my install for some reason. I'm not sure why all my imps are invisible, how can i fix this?
No i believe you misunderstood me. There was no invisible monsters pk4 file in the entire mod download. It wasn't in the addons folder, so i couldnt have dragged it over to the doom directory to begin with. I only transferred the addons for the Alpha weapons, Alpha armor, Bodies stay, Improved lighting and Particles. The only other addons i didn't add that were in the addons folder are the Birdman and Low end addons. There was no invisible monsters addon to transfer, yet somehow the monsters in my game are invisible. I searched all of the folders in my Doom directory, and couldn't find any invisible monsters pk4. Pls help :(

Everything is look like they are varnished and polished, covered with oil or something. Everything is so unrealistically shiny.
I looked through your Youtube channel, and there is this video called 'D3HDP BFG Lite - A taste of Resurrection of Evil'. I know that this mod is only Doom 3, not for BFG. But that is the best example, why I find this unrealistically overused shininess to be incredibly annoying.
That place is an underground ruin, and because of that everything must be covered with dust. So I expecting that nothing should have shiny surfaces there.
The game took place on Mars, on a dusty planet. Also in beginning of the game characters constantly complaining about how much they are overburdened. This prove my point; definitely the last thing people would do is go around cleaning up and polishing every single inch of every surface, even varnishing surfaces that never supposed to shine at all.
Is it possible to install this mod without this unbearable shininess? Or change something in the config files to remove the shininess?
It's a shame that this amazing mod working only lasted me 4 hours.

P.S. Apparently, some of the graphical effects added by the mod are not optimized, which is why the crash occurs.
The image that the mod gives is very good. In sum mod worked smoothness , with only almost always stuttering when the door was opened.
How can this be, when a game with your mod shows amazing graphics and a good 60+ FPS for almost 4 hours, and then when you move to another location, it just "malloc failure".
You are right, I only have 2 GB of video memory. I noticed that if i use the Low End Spec configuration, then "malloc failure" does not occur in that location. But detailing of graphics given by Low End Spec.cfg is the same as in vanilla game.
Therefore, there is no point in using D3HDP - Doom3 Essential HD Pack mod with Low End Spec configuration.
Default game has very low textures res on HD screens nowdays. Comparison
the difference in graphics detail is very noticeable!
