If anyone played this mod, please provide info:
    - If mod speed is fine or should it be buffed/nerfed a bit.
    - If you have same issue as DinkyBinkyWinky with broken HUD.

This mod is easier to install than the older existing faster movement mod that requires legacy doom. I got it to work with pistol overhaul, fist attacks rebalanced, glory kill overhaul and equipment charges mods no problem (steam version). It's just that permanent faster speed makes you rebound off of colliding with surface geometry, which can push you to random directions when moving.

It'd be great if a command line could be added to the decl file just for the walk speed, so the keybind could be used as a sprint toggle whenever you need it.

I'm not sure that other "Faster Movement" mod requires any other conditions, since it should work same as mine with new ModLoader, but must admit I don't remember already.
Yeah, it's an issue. I recommend to decrease speed with Notepad a bit to 800-900, since info I provided about 1000 being default is incorrect and current speed is too high.

Can't be done as I'm aware. Walkspeed can't be changed within this file. It's a miracle that this code works, since it wasn't present there and I just got lucky, while trying to use code from one file/folder in another one.
If you want to use faster speed for walking, I recommend to check main page and see part with LegacyMod.
Edited: install LegacyMod and type into console pm_walkspeed desirednumber.

your mod is a work of wonder as it doesn't require dev mode on steam. I did try pm_walkspeed as i was meddling with the dash mod as well that requires dev mode. dashing is a great qol but since i didn't want the achievements disabled i removed it. I was bummed to find out the console command doesn't work without the mod, but understandable due to once active mp community. And as you mentioned, i did reduce the speed to 800 and it's fine now. kudos for this mod regardless.

Thanks for kind words and thumbs up! Glad you liked my mod. Good luck!

Current ModLoader doesn't use dev mode for Steam version anymore (only for GoG). So you can use Dash mod and Simply Faster Movement mod without issues with achievements as far as I know. LegacyMod works without dev mode too. Just download ModLoader and LegacyMod from links in my description.
Main pros of my mod are:
      - It's way easier to edit and it has no issues with weapon mods compared to Simply Faster Movement.
      - It can be used with pm_walkspeed and it won't cause any issues with LegacyMod approach and I assume it can be used with Dash Mod too, unlikeLegacyMod method (since they both use pm_walkspeed), plus LegacyMod method requires pm_walkspeed to be in launch options, since it doesn't save otherwise as far as I understand.
      - Seem to work together with speedboost from decls/weapon folder.
      Main cons are:
      - Can't edit walk and crouch speeds.
      - Not as handy to edit/check compared to LegacyMod.
      - Affects entitydef/player.decl (not a big issue, though).

I think you can use, either my mod, either LegacyMod, but with +pm_walkspeed as launch option for Steam Also you can use both to have different speed for running and walking.

This mod also disables UI elements like the crosshair...

      What situation disables UI?
Do you use any other mods, which use generated/decls/entitydef/player.decl?
Do you have UI enabled in Settings->Game?

When adding the mod, the crosshair is disabled and the UI is visually changed. No other mods used. UI is enabled in settings. Disabling the mod resolves the issue.

Thanks for feedback! That's really weird. Works on my end and generally speaking it shouldn't change UI/Crosshair and only thing that was changed in this file are these 2 lines related to movement speed.
I have no idea what can cause this to be fair.

Edited: yeah - no idea. Can't reproduce this bug on my end. Tried to play with settings - everything works.

Sorry to bother you again, but do you use Widescreen format by any chance?

Thanks! I'm completely out of ideas then. :\
Just can recommend alternative modes I posted on description page.

Edited: also I don't know how it works with Vortex.
And you can also try to delete these 2 lines and leave vanilla file only to see, if vanilla files breaks it for you.
