uhhh...ive followed instructions lols, make sure devmode is activated as well, not that you need it but id highly recommend it also to make this easier use the dev detection disabler over on the 2016 discord, also for folks needing help i recommend said discord
I have tried every single piece of advice in this thread - this mod just straight up does not work for me. No dash. No sound effect. Nothing. pm_walkspeed returns a value of 190, but the files can't possibly be any more extracted and placed in the same folder and my DOOM executable than they already are. The DoomLegacyMod works just fine.
Update: I finally got it working. Here was my issue: the instructions say to Extract the "_Dash Mod" and "base" folders to your DOOM directory. I took that to mean that their contents needed to be in that directory. No. It's vital that "base" and it's contents be in your DOOM directory just as they are. If you take the .txt files out and put them directly in the directory right along the DOOM executable, it won't work.
i think it depends on your keyboard layout. the instructions sad press the "=" key. my = is at number 7. when i pressed the left shift, a P appeard in the console.
OK, I did everything correctly, but I still can't dash.
If enabled, It doesn't dash and if disabled, I can walk indefinitely with that 3000 walkspeed (using the walk key that is shift)
Followed the guide carefully.
PS: walkspeed is 3000, as instructed, devmode is on, and commands are working. Autohotkey working correctly (have been using it for years). What am I doing wrong?
No Sound & it's faster walk/run mod not an Dash mod....If you hold forward/backward + shift it almost fly's over the map. Better off without it. Sry m8
Everything's working well and the mods awesome but I have a bit of a nitpick. I went back to DOOM Eternal to compare the dash, the mods dash is waaay too fast and travels way too far, if there's some way you can change this that would be great. In DOOM Eternal with a single dash you move roughly 2-3 meters, the dash mod pm_walkspeed is 3000, if i can compare to doom eternal the dash would be probably be around pm_walkspeed 1300 to 1500 (this is what I set it to in Doom 2016 with the mod and it was much better). I tried to give you as much insight as I could to make it easier to fix if your are planning to update the mod again. I also think if you are planning on adding a multidash I recommend leaving the single dash as an option, because demons in 2016 aren't as aggressive as in Eternal so I personally think the single dash will work better.

UDP: I fixed the issue by downloading AutoHotkey_1.1.36.02. I followed instructions again, but I can't dash and there is no sound.
