Dash in Doom 2016, just like in Doom Eternal with animation and sound effect (Go to videos to see how it looks like)

The update from April 2024 broke things and I didn't know (Sorry).
I Updated the instructions and removed "candidate.cfg" from this mod so people wouldn't crash.
Before you do anything, make sure you have "DOOMLegacyMod v202407 beta" installed.
It's needed for the extra commands

Extract it to your DOOM directory
https://autohotkey.com/download/ - To use the script I created
1. Download dash_mod.zip and extract "_Dash Mod" and "base" folders to your DOOM directory
2. Launch Doom
3. Add [+exec "base/scripts/Dash_on.txt"] without [] into steam launch options or input it in the console
3. Go to "_Dash Mod" Folder and launch "dashmod.ahk"
(Run as admin if Doom is running as admin)
You should now be able to dash with Left Shift and hear the audio of you dashing from Doom Eternal
Use "in-flight mobility 2" rune to get dashing working in the air
I also highly recommend joining the Doom 2016+ discord to get mods that aren't here like faster quick switching and master levels - https://discord.gg/jBRXwr3Uek
The program/script will automatically quit when you exit out of Doom or if the game isn't opened
If the audio annoys you, simply delete "dash.wav"

You can now dash in the air without flying crazy
Dashing is a bit faster

Added 2 new custom keys:
(-) Toggles between default doom walk speed and "dash" speed
(=) Toggles the autohotkey script off/on while game is running
You can now use the console command and press shift to enter commands without triggering the script
You can now run the script before launching the game
