how do I install it? it's my first time installing a mod and it's not working (edit: is it works on dos ee version of the game?) (edit 2: it works, but the cam doesn't tilt any help please?) (edit 3: oh boy I was using the wrong mod, i thought this was the mod for the first game)
Tip for everyone: if you want to get rid of all the black fog of war, and you use the Script Extender, look up how to enable the console. Then just enter this command and it will get rid of it: ShroudRender(0)
How can I enable the console? I have been searching for the information for a long time and I don't know how to enable it. The war fog is really annoying, and all I see in the distance is blackness.
After you have the Script Extender installed, go to your install directory at Divinity Original Sin 2\DefEd\bin. Create a "OsirisExtenderSettings.json" file with the following: { "CreateConsole": true } You will be able to enter the above command. It likely won't work the first time, as you'll get a notice that it's "entering server Lua console." Just send it again. You'll have to enter the command again whenever you transition between acts.
I'll add a note though that there are other reasons why the black shroud exists. After you enter this command you'll also see adjacent interiors for areas you shouldn't be seeing, that in some cases are geographically nowhere near each other. So it's a tradeoff in one way or the other, you just have to decide which one's more bearable!
This mod worked exactly as described. I followed the directions as written. Camera works perfectly. Get to see the environment from your character's eye level.
Zoom and tilt work normal, i did nothing but list of instructions in description. DOS 2 DE Steam version 3.6.58.1306 . Proofs: https://yadi.sk/i/vxIttkF_r0Qgbg , https://yadi.sk/i/zN9CnsTK_g0Bbw
I also found this earlier post, seems to have helped some people: neongoat: 10 July 2019, 4:44AM FIX FOR ME:
Just bought this game during summer sale 2019 on steam. This mod didn't work for me. The problem was that this mod searches for a pattern in the game process' memory and remembers that address. It writes to that address directly changing the camera in the game. HOWEVER, when you run the AHK script and it searches for the pattern in the game process, there's no warning/error if the pattern is not found. This means that although AHK did not find the memory location to be able to control your camera, it will tell you "READY".
To fix this, I had to change the starting address, which is also mentioned earlier in this long thread, but the address posted also did not work for me.
CHANGE THIS:
dos.processPatternScan(,,aob*)
TO
dos.processPatternScan(0x10000000000,,aob*)
Note that the above starting address (0x1000000000) for the search is earlier than the suggestion below by simonzhou24.
You can add these lines of code to check that the camera controls are found when you run the script. Put them after the line: TiltCombatMaxAddr := bAddr + 0x98
if (bAddr = 0) { msgbox % "bAddr = " . bAddr . ". Could not lock onto camera controls in the game using the processPatternScan function." ExitApp }
Also, I did not have to run the AHK script as administrator for it to work. Hope this helps someone! There is also another version of this mod, didn't try it though: https://www.nexusmods.com/divinityoriginalsin/mods/113?tab=files

Thank you.
And yeah, please do same for BG3 :)
Still works perfectly for Definitive Edition on Steam just as described.
I can pan up, down, and all around with the middle mouse button and zoom in and out more.
Load the game, then run the Dos2Camera.exe. That's it. Simple.

For those having trouble following Tomixx11111 instruction, i pasted the whole AHK script to pastebin:
https://pastebin.com/bWH95uPy
Just save the file as AHK.
