Its still working for me, i just made the mistake of trying to use the path to place the path, but you have to use the termite nest while the path is in the first slot, it doesn't use the termite nests either so you can place as many paths as you have in your FIRST slot.
Works great still!! Everyone, remember you have to put whatever you want to use 'paths' or whatnot, in your first slot, and the termite nest in any other slot on your bar, then use the termite nest to place the path!!
Thanks for the great idea - unfortunately the mod doesn't seem to work for me (maybe other mods interfere?). Can only edit the pavements below the shop and only at one corner, which is odd. Doesn't allow any of the other functions either, which makes the search for the mistake difficult. If there's any idea on how to fix that i'm all open.
Make sure you are holding the item you want to use (paths, shovel, grass seed, etc.) in your leftmost slot. Make sure the termite nest is in any other slot. Make sure you have the termite nest slot selected as your active slot. Use the termite nest with the same button you use other items with normally.

My bad didn't read all description, remove with empty shovel in first slot.
