This mod is considered complete. This mod has also been merged into my latest mod Devil May Cry 5 Small Fix-up Pack with the fixes only version included. Should any future updates occur, they will most likely appear in the new mod first, before being "ported" over to this mod page.
I'm looking into making a translation myself, can you direct me on how can i do so? I have unpacked all the message files, but how can open and edit those?
I was wondering if you can upload an optional mod to only include text fixes and the PC settings overhaul. 'A difficulty' sounds a bit stilted, and I'd rather leave examples like that as they were.
The latest version of the mod has been relegated to fixes only, essentially. This should give you what you want, as some improvements have been kept.
This is so it's compatible with SSSiyan's Collaborative Cheat Trainer, a mod that should be used by all players now that it is not limited to Cheat Engine. The mod uses files that this mod also used to edit in previous versions, so they're no longer edited, this includes the descriptions you weren't a fan of!
If it's possible I'd like to see the music tacks "Battle-1" and "Vergil Battle-1" changed to their actual names, "Taste the Blood" with thee Vergil one being called like, "Taste the Blood (Vergil Ver.)" or "Taste the Blood (Darkslayer Mix)"
Sorry I'm late to this, Nexus doesn't notify you about comments unfortunately.
Sure, it's available as an optional file. Hope that does the trick for you. While it should work (did for me), let me know if it doesn't work for any reason.
Unfortunately I do not know French well enough to ever cover a translation of sorts, in which would require its own fixes, as some stuff may be "right" in other languages, and I don't expect this to change in the future, ever - sorry :(
Hey just want to add that the subtitles for Mission 11 Scene 03: Original Subtitles are "By the way...I guess owe you one", but Dante says "By the way...I guess I owe you one"
Thanks and I'm with you there on subtitles! If there're any other subtitles I've missed that need correcting, let me know, but I hope I've covered everything, I did scour through them a few times, but I'm bound to miss a few things probably.
any way to remove the "Starring the DMC crew" credit text start of every mission? or make it invisible? If it's online it says the name of the players with you
Removing the Starring word text is easy, not too sure about the other text. If you still want at least the Starring text removed, let me know and I'll upload the file for you and others. It looks like this in-game (image below).
I'm very inclined to believe the rest of the text and HUD elements aren't removable with my knowledge, they'd likely require texture edits. Since the player name text is dynamic in that the text can be anything due to Steam names, and not something that's static, it likely grabs info from elsewhere, and the character symbol with the underline HUD elements are textures that I can't remove via text.
I'm sure if you ask around the DMC modding communities, somebody may be able to help you accomplish what you're after with that in particular - trust me, I understand it after playing MGSV myself!
I've grown to like the UI in Devil May Cry 5 myself, including this HUD element, although I understand why others may not as some may not want that element in the way while.
In the meantime however, I have uploaded a file that removes the "Starring" text at the very least for you, which may serve its own purpose for those that like the HUD element but don't see the need for the "Starring" text.

NOTES:
- This mod is compatible with SSSiyan's Collaborative Cheat Trainer, a mod that also relies on message files for some of its functionality.

Joke version of the mod likely won't happen, I'm sure someone else will do it one day, if I do not.

Just something that you might have missed out on.
I've updated the mod and credited you in the Changelogs section. It should look like this now:
Keep up the good work!

At least the starring part can be removed i guess. Please upload.
it's a not huge flaw with the game, but it is a pet peeve. Reminds me of MGS5 which had credits start of every missions. it was annoying there too.
