PSA: Instead of renaming the entire sfpaks folder located in \Days Gone\BendGame\Content\ rename only the startuppackages.pak to startuppackages_modsenabled.pak inside it.
Doing so should result in the following: - Vanilla-like loading times - More stable gaming experience (massive performance boosts in large areas for some users.)
Disclaimer: - this may not be 100% compatible with mods that modify enemy spawn values or static map edits! - mod authors: see contents of sfpaks folder and .uassets inside startuppackages.pak for compatibility!
This mod is very confusing. It seems to adjust both holstering and weapon stats and has suggested prerequisites, but the fact is, you can use just the top download to get the holstering changes. This works well with the backpack outfits in this mod… https://www.nexusmods.com/daysgone/mods/556
EDIT: I found out that holstering is part of the same asset file as gun stats. I guess that explains the confusing combination of mods. It also means, you cannot combine any holstering mod with any gun stats mod as one will overwrite the other. I had to uninstall this mod as the gun stat changes I wanted are more important.
Can't seem to get this one working, the weapons are still clipping through the backbag. I have the two required mods, but also got like 50 other mods too. Is there a chance some other known mod is messing with this one? The other 2 mods seems to be working as intented tho.
brah does this mod require the other mod weapon rebalance or not ? its not clearly stated im assuming u dont and u just want people to download the other file?
Greetings! You can always use Backpack Options For Deacon by donniepcgames and combine that with any other outfit mod. Hope that helps! Let me know if you run into any issues. All the best.
So... weapon rebalance is stated as a required file. Is it still? Or is that one combined with this mod now? Not really sure since it's named weapon rebalance patch in this mod package. Might be an idea to remove weapon rebalance as a required file ;) Gets confusing. Sorry if I've misunderstood something ^_^
Since it's only a patch in it's current state, I listed it as a requirement so people would download the original. Just to keep it fair. Once I'm done with the mod I'll upload multiple versions.
I don't get why you bundled all these other mods with your own holstered weapon change mod?? Makes no sense since I do not want a weapon rebalance or the pistol reticle on all of my other weapons.
I did so, because it's WIP and I don't want to edit all those files all the time. I'll do two proper versions eventually but for now you'll have to either take it as it is or edit it to your likings.
sorry to bother you and I'm sure this is a simple fix but I don't have an sfpaks folder, only a paks folder, so can't seem to find that file to rename and the weapon positions don't appear to be moving at all. Any way to fix this?
FYI: I'm using the Hipster clothing mod that includes a backpack and other mods work after renaming that "Paks" folder to "Pakss" in 'BendGame'.
I am also experiencing this issue, any ideas would be great. I'm using the Hipster deek puffy jack variant and both weapons on holster on one side clipping through the backpack.
He has clearly said in the description the melee position fix are for the next update. Good thing comes to those who wait my friend, have some patience the update will come soon enough, hopefully.
Thank you for actually reading the description and using some common sense. RL is pretty packed, so I don't know when I'll be able to work at the mod again but it's just paused not cancelled or abandoned. I just installed a fresh custom windows and once I have all my essentials running I'll install Days Gone and see if I can replicate my latest mod configuration via MO2. It's still a long way to go but I was planning on a Wabbajack List for Days Gone eventually.

I'm just wondering if you can help me, I want to use this outfit with a backpack. https://www.nexusmods.com/daysgone/mods/238?tab=images
Is it possible? (and if so, how to do it) since this mod of yours overrides that outfit I had previously (it was a .pak file)
Thank you in advance!
Cheers!

Thanks.
The weapons look great but the machete doesn't get placed like the pictures...it stays as "vanilla"! Any ideas as to why!?
Cheers
