I have a question. The description says that "you can use the characters you played the mod with to play unmodded game, they will be in NG+6." Could I, for example, go directly to NG+7 if I want to run progress through the ranks as quickly as possible and then uninstall when it gets too spicy, will I be bumped down to NG+6?
Or, alternatively, if I were to install this mod and then do the traditional New Game, use a spoiler in NG+ to go directly to NG+6 afterwards, would I be able to uninstall the mod without problems? I want to get the proper vanilla experience before NG+7 and up, for which I hope that someday somebody will be crazy enough to reach level 100 XD
Thank you! I’m so used to Skyrim rules where uninstalling any mod, official or not, results in a “file corrupted content not found” message. Looking forward to this!
I have one more question if you dont mind real quick. If I were to take out the files of this mod for a bit and install a new mod without opening my NG+ infinite file ever with the new mod then reinstalling this mod later would my NG+ infinite file be ok?
do you mean character? i think it will be ok, but i'm not guarantee. you can just back up the real save file (%UserProfile%\Documents\NBGI\DarkSouls) and then put it back once you come back to the mod. than it will be ok 100%.
Does this mod work with the all weapons buffable mod? The only thing it changes is the "GameParam.Parambnd.dcx" file but does that file mean anything important in this mod?
Havnt seen this posted anywhere yet, but i found an aged feather from asylum demon 2 on ng14 , could of sworn i killed him previously so dont know if you need to prgress this far for it to drop or somthin, or maybe you need to kill him before progressing to far into the run idk, seems to be an unlimited homward bone
Hey I know that I am a bit late for this but if you could still reply to this it would be appreciated. I just have one question right now and am wondering if there is a way for me to just up the NG+ level without having to beat the game every single time. I want to try to put the game on like NG+70 but don't want to beat the game another 60 times. If there is a way please tell me.
There is a build-into-the-mod way to skip 15 NG's per playthrough. But it's a secret way, I don't want to spoil things. Feel free to find the answers on how to do it on the internet if there are any. There is an easier way to skip 5 NG at once. I'm sure you can figure it out quickly on your own.
Alternatively you can use cheat engines to reach any NG. All I care about is that your character has reasonable stats when you beat bosses for the leaderboard, and, that you don't use cheat engine during that process.
Just be ware, big skips in difficulty can demotivate you. NG+70 is no joke. I'm even kinda afraid for mental health of people who do it :)
The description is kind of confusing for me. I have a character in the middle of NG+4, will thing instantly put them in NG+7? Also which boss do I kill for the robe
I followed the installation instructions, but for some reason I still can't get the mod to work for me. Is there something I'm missing or possibly overlooking?
Yo, uh, will there be an option for the NG to increase over time? As in for example you're in NG+7, 10 minutes pass and now you're in NG+8? Would that be possible in any way? As an option or smth.
Well, that wouldn't really be it though. You'll just be speedrunning an NG+X, instead of trying to get better equip fast enough to not get folded because NG got too high for you.
Anyway, another question - any plans on getting the mod work other DS parts? DS2 and DS3. Would love that honestly, but not sure if modding is the same in all 3 games. Only heard that DS1 has more variety of mods.
No, I don't work with other DS games, and stoped modding DS1 too tbh.
It's different, but you may like ?Bleeder Curse mod https://www.nexusmods.com/darksouls/mods/1427, or Daughthers of Ash with Rusted Ring and blood contract.
Last question here - I've noticed that the highest boss kill in the leaderboards is NG+99... Is that the highest achievable NG? The limit? The mod's called NGInfinite, and the limit being NG+99 defeats the whole purpose of NG being infinite... Even though like nobody's going to legitimately beat NG+99 full run, it still kinda sucks that 99 is the limit xd.
yes. NG+99 is the limit. There is always a limit, since you can not store infinite numbers in a computer memory ;) All we can do about it is to view reality as we want it to be instead of how it is. :) and yeah, it sucks that reality is gruesome and disturbing. Still - have fun.
Is this mod compatible with Age of Sunlight? At the very least is the actual infinite ng+ scaling compatible with Age of Sunlight? I don't really care about any item or boss changes. If the rest of the mod isn't compatible then I would still be fine with just selectively downloading just the part of the mod which increases ng+ cycle.
I don't really know what you mean. Which files are those? And how can I identify which specific part of your mod files adds infinite ng+ scaling to enemies? (And which part of the mod files does the other things like add the new items?)
I don't recommend splitting the mod in parts. But if you wanna experiment you can get rid of the changes in the map, menu and msg directories. Param and event files are mandatory.
Param was interfering with Age of Sunlight so I installed just the event files. I don't know if they're even doing anything but the game is working fine so for now I'm just gonna leave it.
Well, unfortunately, "the game working as fine as w/o the mod" is the best result you can get this way. You can't get NG+7 without param and event files.
I can use cheat engine to immediately start Journey 9. More importantly does the Black Token have to be used in order to actually begin giving later ng+'s the infinite scaling?
If so then s#*!, I don't think I can do anything to have both of these mods work. The best I could maybe do is replace Age of Sunlight files with yours, use black token and then put AoS files back in. But I'm like 99% that won't work.

You can uninstall any mod in any case by deleting the game and redownloading it from Steam again (but usually "verify game files integrity" works)
you can just back up the real save file (%UserProfile%\Documents\NBGI\DarkSouls) and then put it back once you come back to the mod. than it will be ok 100%.
So it won't work, unless you mod the file to combine both mods somehow.

I don't like making spoilers, so I won't answer the second question.
Just use a timer and try to complete the game in a few hours.

Exactly.
