Philosophy
When coop in a higher new game+(NG+) with 3 friends, it is a completely different game where it is all about team fight, hit stun, aggro control, spells utilize and maybe invaders.
This mod makes it so you can experience all this with NPC phantoms while offline, with additional enemies and tweaks.


What does this mod do

  • New NPC summon signs on every map guarantee a 3 NPC coop experience. (Except the beginner area)
  • New NPC invasions.
  • New friendly phantom incapacitated system.
  • New systems to make up for NPC phantom being dumb.
  • More hand-placed enemies almost every map.
  • New Phantom-like enemy you can challenge.
  • You can warp friendly phantoms to you anytime.
  • You can use summon sign unlimited times without reloading the map.
  • All signs, text and placement are lore friendly. (At least I tried, with reasonable expansion.)
  • Vanilla NPC summon signs are mostly disabled. (For modding reasons, but they are included in this mod so you are not losing any of your friends)

Other tweaks
  • Blood is visually more red.
  • No blood on the character. (Otherwise you will cover in blood all the time and lose fashion.)
  • All weapons can be buffed.
  • Ring tweaks for fun.
  • Buff spells last longer and are more powerful.
  • Enemy dynamic drop overhaul.
  • Farron Greatsword's weapon art changed to a move from the watchers.
  • Wolf Knight's Greatshield no longer provides Aux resist, it now provides absorption to dark and poise damage.
  • (NG+) Globe enemy HP has increased significantly.
  • (NG+) Globe enemy attack damage is reduced. (Optional)

  • Use UXM to unpack and patch the game.
  • Copy and paste all the files from this mod to the game folder.
You may use the mod engine to install but this mod is not designed for that method.

Essential FAQ

1. Where are the summon signs?
They are all in fixed locations, most are at the bonfires and some near the boss fog gate, look for the blood message that says something about "warm".
Stand on top of the said blood message will guarantee you are in the right spot, though the sign generation radius is larger.


2. How do I see the summon signs?
You need the Seek Guidance effect to make the summon sign generate, currently the Miracle Seek Guidance is designed to be used, when you use the said miracle you will get a text hint and the game will start generating summon sign nearby, or start warping friendly phantoms to you if no sign is near.

3. How do I warp friendly phantoms to me?
Similar to FAQ 2, you need to use Miracle Seek Guidance, and stay away from any summon sign, then you will get a text hint and all your friends will warp in front of you in seconds.

4. My phantoms are on their kneel?
This is because of the new incapacitated system where if a coop phantom has only 1 HP, you will get a text hint and said phantom will go down for 15 seconds and wait for healing. You can use regular methods like miracles to heal your friend, they will stand back up when having a few hundred HP after the 15s timer.

5. My phantoms are stuck/lost/not moving!
Warp them as FAQ 3, or dismiss them to re-summon.

6. Some summon signs are not showing when they should.

Reloading the map to fix it. (Sit at the Bonefire will NOT fix.)
For each phantom, only one sign can be placed at a time, you won't see the sign at the boss fog gate if you generate that sign early at the bonfire and not use it to summon. I suggest summoning every sign you see to make sure no signs are left unnoticed.

7. The mod is bugged!
Most of the bugs can be fixed by reloading the map.
The suggested method is exiting to the main menu and re-continue.

8. What changes to dynamic drop?
Bosses are not changed.
Most of the enemies will not drop weapons and gears any more, instead, they now will drop soul fragments and combat consumables corresponding to their difficulty. So it is worth to fight and pick up the loot in NG+.
I suggest farm what you need in vanilla game first or use Honest Merchant to build your save.

9. Ring tweaks?
For casual player like me.
Ring of Favor +2 has everything you need like mana regen, more weight, and longer spell time to save your slots.
Carthus Bloodring now will not cost your defence.
Pontiff's Left Eye is now powerful and will regen mana instead.

How can I use summon sign after the boss is defeated?
Same as FAQ 2. The logic is with the summon sign generating, the area boss is treated to be alive, but you can not fight again if you already defeated the boss before, use the red orb to put the boss back dead when you finish playing, otherwise it may cause unknown side effects. If you forget to use the red orb, you can warp to a none boss bonfire nearby, and then use it.
You can use the red orb as much as you want but do not use the red orb before you defeat the boss.

Other FAQ
What is the Gather Point?
It is a legacy system for warping phantoms, you can ignore it safely.
If you do want to use them, look for the blood message that says something about "rift", typically at ladders and elevators, then use the Miracle Seek Guidance nearby, all friendly phantoms will warp near you in seconds.

Why is enemy attack damage reduced in NG+?
To give you a free choice of fashion.
After the main installation, you can download the optional file on the file page to override the same file in X:\DSteamLibrary\steamapps\common\DARK SOULS III\Game to cancel this change.
In vanilla, you need to get in a tin can to avoid getting two-shot in NG+7. 
Now all enemies are doing the same damage across all NG+ like it is a new game so you can dress your favourite dress.

The enemy is too tanky!
Yes indeed.
You need to utilize everything you have to gain advantages.
Tips: Every "tanky" enemy has its weak element.


The mod is too easy/hard/boring/unbalanced.
Balancing is never a simple task, currently this mod is designed and balanced around NG+7.

I can not use any summon signs?
You need to be Embered first.
And to be honest, if you don't even know this, you might have a very bad experience with this mod.

Note
  • This mod is designed and balanced to be used with NG+ save, NG+7 is ideal. I suggest using an NG+ save to play, just backup the save file first and play offline, or create a new save if you like.
  • Take care of your phantoms! The game is not designed to be played with NPC phantoms 90% of the game, expect they get stuck or fall and die a lot for no reason.
  • No guarantee! But this mod is not giving you any illegal items. So you can go back online after you are done with this mod. You need to uninstall this mod first, then proceed to clear the run to the next new game+, then everything should be back to normal. 


Known Side-Effects
  • Probably get you banned if played online.
  • May kill your save. (logically will not happen and never happened yet)
  • May crash your game. (never happened yet)

Conflict
Will conflict with mods that modify the same files.
Sadly overhaul mods like Cinders and Randomizer are not compatible with this mod.


Bug
  • The NPC phantoms become invisible after they die from the cliff, reloading the map to fix it.
  • Sometimes the friendly phantom will keep facing a wrong angle.
  • Sometimes the friendly phantom is completely missing but still counts as summoned.
