Just like in the base game, you need to be Embered first to be able to use any summon signs and enable NPC invasion. And to be honest, if you don't even know this, you might have a very bad experience with this mod.
Hello there, I really like this mod and enjoyed a lot! However one thing I noticed is that the summon signs disappeared after the crystal sage?
On high wall and undead settlement everything is fine, near halfway fortess bonfire I see three summon signs (sirius, black hand gotthard and eygon) but soon as I summon one the other two will disappear, same thing also happen near the farron fortess and crucifixion woods bonfire. After defeating crystal sage the summon sign wont even appear at cathedral of the deep and cleansing chapel bonfire. Not sure if its bugged, is there a fix?
Those are base game designs, not bugs if my memory is correct. In areas like Farron it's set to be a large PVP area so the host has fewer summons so the invasion can be more. You need to use the Dried Finger to summon more.
Hi there, i love your mod its very good and works but can i ask if you could make a version with only the summon feature, i was on my first NG + and the health pools of those enemies were ridiculous. Especially since my weapon did like 300 dmg per swing. Vordt alone had like 15k health, making the fight a slog.
I get that it would be too easy and i saw that you said u balanced it around NG+7, though it is a bit weird to balance the mod around max difficulty.
Anyway, the other thing is that since i just finished my first playthrough, i dont have a lot of embers, so i was only capable of using this mod for like all my 9 embers, which were not enough for tanky vordt.
please, just the summon feature, i really wanna try out this mod.
I am glad you can have fun with this mod. However, one reason why I balance this mod for NG+7 is that, I want people to fully played through the base game a few times first, then play this mod.
In the base game, there are many friendly summons if you setup the quests carefully, therefore if you want base game experience and NPC summons to help you out, you could just google some guide and try the base game first.
And due to the complexity of modding, I am sorry to say that it is not likely for me to make a summon only version.
For the difficulty, I suggest to build your character to focus on one Attribute(strength or dexterity) to at least 40 and carry a matching weapon, plus some elemental methods to buff your weapon to the enemy's weakness, with all this you can start to deal real damage.
Can't seem to get this to work.. I unpacked my DS3 with UXM and copied the mod files into the game folder. I'm embered and used the seek guidance near bonfires, but I'm not seeing summon signs. Am I doing something wrong?
Try different bonfires. If the mod is working, you will get a text notification when use seek guidance wherever you are. Otherwise, you may need to delete and reinstall the game first.
It's working now, I realized I wasn't pressing "Patch" on UXM. I do have another question, is the summon only supposed to work on the first bonfire of each section? I noticed that I'm able to see the summon signs on the first bonfires of each zone, but not for the other bonfires
Great job! I am trying to do the same thing to DS2 soft, but I am not familiar with dark soul mod(uesed to make some Skyrim mods). Can you tell me how to learn to do such a mod as you do? Again, great mod.
You need DSMapStudio and DarkScript3 to begin. There are guides and example mods online. But you could just mess with the DSMapStudio first, it's fun and mostly self explained. For me the hard part is the script, I have code experience so I just look at the script and try to guess and understand what the devs are trying to do, it took me a lot of time to figure out, I believe this is why DS has few quest or story mod, it is too obscured. The better you know the game system the easier it is to make the script, and checking other's mods will help you learn too.
Man, I installed the mod correctly, but it has a problem that I don't know what causes it, the summoning signs appear but the option to summon does not appear. They just appear and I can't do anything with the signs. What can be causing this problem?
can i remove files to just have the summons (no random enemies, ring tweaks, or drops etc.), or do i have to use it all together? if so what files do i delete. (:
I don't think it is possibile. However, enemies are not random, and without my enemies setup the game might feel so easy that you don't even have to do anything.
Because it will be too easy without more enemies. And setting up the summon is actually a lot of work so those who can do this might just do a little more than that :)
