Unfortunately it doesn't work. Still have to On/Off double-click settings every time I launch this game. i7-8750h + 1070 8GB, fullscreen 1080p, SSD/NVMe, Win 10 x64
Doesn't seem to do anything for me. I have the game installed on an SSD. The dll is in the same directory as the game's executable, and Windows Defender is disabled. *shrug* Oh well. I guess I have to click a few buttons every time I launch the game. No big deal.
First off, thank you for creating this mod! I am finally returning to Dark Souls 2 after uninstalling due to frustration years ago.
I am really only interested in the "double click" portion of this mod. If I install it, do I have to enable borderless window display, or can I just run the game on fullscreen as I normally do? Thank you!
Hello i tried to install this mod on the cracked version of the game but it doesn't seem to work cause there is no "game" folder. Could you try to help me please?
copy everything from the install folder and make your own new 'game' folder and move everything into there. you installed fitgirls version didnt you you filthy pirate! lol so did I !!!
hi, i just started with ds2 sotfs after having been amazed by ds1 i just completed, but after already 3h of messing around with the messed-up console-ported controls and the disable double-click setting not saving after game restart and not having even moved ahead of the tutorial part after creating the character, i almost uninstalled it again. so this mod luckily prevented me from doing so... however, it seems as if it does not work for me (only the double-click tweak, dont need the borderless one). i copied the dll into the corresp. folder, even restarted steam, it still did not work. first time launching the game after restarting steam crashed it when opening the load save game (continue) menu. afterwards i continued my game successfully, but double-click was not disabled, totally unable to break guard and jump-attack. to confirm that the setting worked when turned on manually, i again turned it off and on in the settings, and immediately was able to break guard and jump-attack.
steam and the game are on an ssd. no other mods installed.
any help? thanks
PS: tried it again multiple times, did not work at all, as if i did not copy the dll, although it is here. only opening up the key binding menu and closing it again however works each time, not even necessary to set it to off and on again. i am playing in offline mode (blocked outbound traffic for the exe in win firewall), so before getting to the main menu i first get the 2 messages about not being able to contact the servers and that the game would run in offline mode - maybe the reason? any way to fix this apart from going online?
the DLL is supposed to be in the same folder as the main executable. if you're on Windows 10, the OS sometimes blocks DLLs that come from the internet. go into the properties of the file and make sure it's not locked.
It's probably injection timing issue as reported by other people where the mod did not work. Do you have the game installed on SSD or HDD.
Admittedly i hardcoded the timing based on what worked for me, which may not necessarily be adequate for other people and injecting too early may cause issues or do nothing at all.
Question: does this input delay bug only affects users of keyboard and mouse or somehow also affects controller users? I ask because i recently bought all 3 (Dark Souls Remastered, DS2 Scholar of the First Sin and DS3 Deluxe) on Steam and DSR was perfect and now i’m playing SOFS but i feel like the input is less responsive compared to the first game (i’m using an original Xbox One controller for Windows via the USB cable).
Wondering if this mod would also help me, thanks in advance!
